Time machines and how we use them?

Some philosophers say that time is unreal and merely a human construction.
But it is real because we know that past events cannot change and are permanent.
Some say only the present Now is real.
Subjective or mental life time is very personal as you guys suggest.
Thanks to Einstein, we know that time is not an Absolute everywhere.
I doubt if we will ever have the definite answers from physicists.

Living out a ways, on the edge so to speak, off grid… and retired, I have lost a bit in regard to time, whatever form it is perceived to be
Seems sleeping when dark is good

Sol turns on the lights at some hour
It’s not the immediate glare from a switch, but quite gradual
I do like that
And off I go…eventually

Days happen

Seasons meander by with the migrations

Weeks, months?

Don’t know

Don’t much care

I'll leave past present and future to cerebral confabs

Oh, look

The lights are beginning to happen

Gonna step out and watch the event unfold

...while scratching myself

Silly question G'o - but I assume you don't use a watch or clock - pity about the cuckoo?? - used to like the sound of one indoors?

No watch

tossed it on my last day at work

I have three clocks;

One, a retirement gift (never put batteries in it)

The other, a large one from a passed friend (again, no bats)
is in my den behind the ship

The large one in the shop tells when dinner time is
...of which I only know because my lady sez 'dinner w/be at 3'

It's behind my gigantic head

wait...I have four
one in the main cabin, so she knows what to tell me about dinner time

So, two functioning clocks

aside from my iPhone..it probably has one

something a bit pertinent I made in another life

not sure about ya saving time Gary more like this ain't it ?

now there's a few topics in themselves - how can we "save" or "steal" time or are we playing with illusions??

The Endlessness of Timelessness

That time is an illusion is reflected in the stars
For they just go on forever past Jupiter and Mars
You've heard the age old saying that life goes 'round and 'round'
and matter is transmuted from heavenly stars to ground?

when man builds up his edifices and counts by lunar moves
He thinks that he's created 'time' but finds it difficult to prove
A clicking clock is merely that ; an engineering piece
It doesn't prove that time exists but keeps a regular kind of beat

We say that as we're changing then 'time' must play a part
the bones grow weak and weary and irregular beats the heart
but this is changing matter that takes and gives its atoms
we are simple moving matter 'round an eternally designed pattern

so talk not of us wasting time or rushing for the hour
or growing old and dying underneath some leafy bower
we are an eternal being with a life force on for ever
today we're made of skin and bone ; tomorrow light as feather

do not talk in lifetimes that limit what we do
reach for the stars and then beyond and see the eternal clue
for as we reach up to the stars and and look forever endless
our minds will grow, and grow and grow and keep on growing endless

[ps: not sure if I can prove it ; it just comes out of me head!!]
