Are they safe as far as Oklahoma tornados ?As we are actively looking - MAN built steel prefab homes 1948-1952 (?). The remaining ones are historical buildings and protected. A few were tastefully restored and brought up to date with materials and technology.

Would not know as they were not exported. Are they safe as far as Oklahoma tornados ?
I asked as seems your state gets them here and there .Would not know as they were not exported.
Personally - if a tornado is meant to get you it will.
They are like some family members - you do not expect them to drop in unless Channel 9 says so. And they are up to speed!!!I asked as seems your state gets them here and there .
As of today I have very fortunate that have never experienced a tornado , hurricane , etc but I am pushing my luck still in Miami .They are like some family members - you do not expect them drop in unless Channel 9 says so. And they are up to speed!!!
We have had them and damage in GA, AL, TX, Germany.
I had a tornado hit my homestead in May of 2000. It took down over 300 big trees on my property. I think there were 4 or 5 on the house. My horses were out in the middle of it with fly masks on. Had no idea one was coming our way. It was over in less than 4 minutes. As of today I have very fortunate that have never experienced a tornado , hurricane , etc but I am pushing my luck still in Miami .
That's cute!
I've just been through all 12 pages and I think I know what I want. This is the one that made my heart squeeze. I love a cozy house in the snow. However, it may be a little too large to qualify and it's two story so the dog and I may have to start early to bed. I've ruled out everything that's modern, anything in a precarious position and anything right on the water.
Very precarious.
I love the stone ones.
And I love the rustic ones.
Just not as rustic as this.
