Tired Nurse here... prayers requested

yes... yes... yes..

thank you nurses, health care clinicians, first responders, and any and all of us who are doing their best to get this abhorrent pandemic under control...

My heart goes out to you and your daughter. I respect all the nurses and health care workers who have devoted their entire selves to helping those who are suffering and dying from this disease. You have threatened your own health and the health of your family. I can't imagine what you are going through or what you've been through. :( You are in my thoughts every day, and I hope this pandemic comes to an end as quickly as possible. Please take care, sending you love. Thank you for your sacrifice, it is appreciated.

May God guide and protect you and your daughter. May he give you strength, courage, perseverance, focus, and some extra time in the day so that you can get adequate rest. May he surround you with family and friends and plenty of love. And give you a peace that passes all understanding through it all. We all are filled with gratitude for what Cinnamon and her daughter are so selflessly doing for others. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen.

And when all is said and done, in fact daily, may God wash clean the images that you will have on your mind so that you can sleep.

Praying for strength and protection for you both. You are both so appreciated ...always.... but even more these days because you are at the frontlines. I see all the "superheros wear scrubs" shirts and buttons since the pandemic started and you are exactly that to us. Trouble with that phrase is that you all are still normal humans with just so much emotional and physical energy to pull upon. Hugs and prayers for you, your daughter and colleagues.

If you believe in prayer, could you say one for me? Things are ramping up as far as new cases of COVID and I'm tired already.

While you're at it, could you include my daughter, who's an ER nurse??

Thanks so much.
I'll pray for you if you pray for me. We are also ramping up where I am too. I will be going back after 4 days off and I hate to see how many Covid trays we will be sending up. I too am already exhausted from what we've been dealing with. Being short handed and all. Hang in there gal!! *Hugs*

Thank you for that @Lara !

I hope we don't go back to where we were a year ago. The grocery store business was completely overwhelmed and guess what? We are already seeing some hoarding going on, especially in sanitizing items, paper products and fresh meats. A year ago, every morning when I would go to work, our shelves would be all but empty.

I wish you well and will add you to my prayer list. Praying Hands.jpg

Patient wise we are already where we were at the height of this thing here after only 6 wks. Another 6 will be horrible. They are only discussing mask mandates at this point. We are struggling with product shortages at the stores as well as at work. Unless something can be done to slow things down or stop them we are just SOL.

Truthfully, I think some of what is going on is due to a little panic, school is starting soon and questions need to be answered and there is way too much information and counter information going on. We are still having an issue with trying to figure what to believe and who to believe. It would be nice if just one person only would speak for the government, instead of so many different talking heads with most of what is being said are only opinions.

Adding my very Heartfelt caring and thanks to you,
@CinnamonSugar
for every single thing, that both you personally, and your daughter too, have done for others, over all the exhausting and draining and stressful hours , that you have been putting in, for others' care.

Have routinely sent my form of a prayer (sending light and love while in meditative state) for medical personnel, their support staff--kitchen and housekeeping, and the essential workers so heavily impacted by this, from the truckers who move goods to the people in stores.

Our main grocery store is a multi-generational family owned business. The manager and his wife, the son and DIL of owner are there most of the time. She both stocks goods and works checkout, so the regular cashiers can take breaks and go to lunch. They were the first store in town to follow CDC guidelines (the convenience gas station stores and Family Dollar that was here at the time ALL Franchise stores with multistate presences lagged behind). They are always friendly and helpful despite people who try to bend rules and out of state folks who rail against NM's rules. One of their workers is a young man i first met when he was 12 and came to help his Dad with some work around our place.

You ALL must be so exhausted and it must be particularly difficult to hear/read denials of how serious this virus is and implications that medical personnel are complicit in some vast world wide conspiracy. Please know that most reasonable people know better--that even if it hasn't been as bad in their/our area doesn't mean it's not overwhelming elsewhere and most places. My state reacted fairly well and quickly, urban centers are of course harder hit than places where churches and stores are main places you get more than a couple of people in one spot, actually it's where most talk to our neighbors.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts and words. It means more to me than you’ll ever know.

I can’t speak to mask mandates, squabbles over the vaccine, etc. I’m just reporting what I see from the trenches— new cases popping up like mushrooms after the rain 😔

How ya holdin up there @CinnamonSugar ? Been pretty tired here. Hoping by the end of the month to have more help come in and get them trained up so I can return to the cafeteria FT this time. My days off have been few and very spread out on the schedule. We're getting about 50 new cases a day. I think we're housing 15 at the moment. Possibly more. I know some were waiting in the ER for a room to open up as we're still short on nurses. One floor lost 18 nurses all at once. Another floor reported losing 20 nurses all at once. They just got burned out and quit. Take care of yourself on your days off. 🤗

I have always had a great deal of respect for nurses. I had 5 cousins that were Nurses and now my daughter is an RN. She is presently working at the school her daughter goes to, and I say this prayer every day.

Prayer for Nurses’ Safety
Lord, you are the one who keeps us safe and ensures that no harm comes over us because we are your children.

Today I pray for the safety of nurses around the world so that they can always be ready to work with zeal.
As they tend to patients with contagious illnesses and diseases, keep them from infection.

Provide nurses with the protective gear they need to ensure they are well protected against anything
that may harm them in the line of duty.

Where their gear is worn out, let the hospitals they work for provide them with replacements.

May the work environment of nurses be properly sanitized and disinfected to protect their health and well-being.

Remind the nurses to always take safety precautions as they work because they too have a responsibility to keep themselves safe. Provide them with the products they need to keep their working spaces clean and safe.

As they sleep and rest after work, may they lie in peace because you are the one who makes them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).

Let them never forget that you are the one who keeps them safe at all times, and they don’t have to worry about anything.

May nurses look to you for their salvation and help instead of turning to other sources that will disappoint you.

Guide them toward your way of doing things so that they will be successful in the work they do. Let the minds
nurses be focused on you always.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I will absolutely pray for you Cinnamon Sugar! I periodically say a prayer for all those on the front lines fighting COVID but I will say special prayers for you. I love good nurses and I'm sure you are one. Please take care of yourself as best you can, especially if you are working long hours. Be blessed, safe and well❣️
