Today Show host 84 year old mom is missing in Arizona-'concerning circumstances'

Those three band members need to be sitting under hot lights and interogated non-stop … forget the yard help and delivery drivers.

Someone needs to provide evidence that they (band guys) were seen and have good alibis during that period of time.
The Guthrie family should have the inside track on that, since he, the SIL is in the family! ,,,,
Why aren’t they talking?

More evidence that the person on Guthrie's video is a woman.

Look at when they walk away. Pants fit like a women's and have no back pockets. Butt also looks fuller on the cheeks, indicating a female. The pants don't look like pants a man would wear for such an occasion.

The person bends over sharply at the waist to pick the plant. Females do this more than males at a very high rate.

They wear the gun to hide their crotch and also put their hand in that area, to hide the fact they don't have the equipment for bragging rights in the men's locker room.

Their gait walking away looks unnatural for a man. At one point, their right foot is out in front and centered like a female.

I can't believe that investigators haven't noticed these things. They fell for the fake mustache and idea it had to be a man to commit such a crime. I think at least 2 are involved, and most likely 3. I can't believe they haven't found any tire tracks in that drive.

I can't believe this many days have passed since the video and no person of interest has been questioned other than the one guy that didn't fit the description in any way, in my opinion.

The shared footage shows the person outside prior to entering the house so, at least one person entered through that door. Mrs Guthrie's blood was shown splattered on the ground outside that same door so, she must have exited the property through that door. Apparently there were several cameras. Why no footage showing how Mrs Guthrie left and who was with her?

It may be, of course, that the police do have footage but, for understandable reasons, are not sharing it or, perhaps all the cameras had been disabled by then and no further footage was found on the cloud?
I didn’t see the last line and that was what I was going to answer about your original question.

From what I could find out Tucson is only about an hour and a half drive from the Mexican border.
I don’t have any idea where her house was from Tucson either closer or further from the border.
It could be any gang from down there that is behind this tragedy.

My question would be why did they pick her-easy target? Only money resident they know of?

Sidenote- youtube a buzz with a potential swat raid in progress. Convoys spotted some reports of roadblocks being set up. Could be nothing, diversion or unassociated.

I read on another forum that they suspected the videos were fake because they were staged.

However, I’m not saying that this person’s suspicions couldn’t be a reality, but the people in the
videos are too close of a match to real suspects. Why would someone insert themselves into a
kidnapping for ransom plot just to set it up as a prank? I doubt if the cops or FBI would find any
humor in it.

You know! That is a very good question and it does make a person wonder if the kidnappers knew that she was alone and frail and that her daughter probably makes a huge amount of money as a celebrity.
Most normal people would only think of an elderly person living alone as quaint but it probably worked on this devious type of persons mind until they were overcome with greed.
I personally am not wealthy but live a comfortable life and am not jealous or resentful of those who are much more financially secure.
The only time I resent anyone’s wealth is like when they use it to destroy our way of life like Amazon is doing by building those monstrous data centers that make the super rich richer and help the greedy to eliminate jobs.
Maybe we as old people might have a better idea of who an elderly person might come in contact with.
1. Her hairdresser 2. Gardner or domestics 3. Home medical help 4. Her auto mechanic 5. Any and all regular delivery people - are there more you can think of?
I am not a woman or single so I have no idea who single, elderly women come in contact with but I know for sure that both my wife and my mother consider their hair dressers as being their closest people outside of family and probably know more about their customers than even family members know.
I have a warm place in my heart for both of their hair dressers just knowing how much they meant to my mother and to my wife.

I don’t think it ever was a kidnapping. I think it was a robbery gone wrong. Her home appears to be fairly well enclosed with shrub and somewhat away from the street, so an easy target.

I THINK her neighborhood is mostly made up of folks who are fairly well off and it was just happenstance she is the mom of a famous TV person.

It is possible she interrupted the robbery, could identify the person(s) and they couldn’t let her do that.

I am also beginning to think she Met Her Maker within the first few hours of the crime and she may never be found.

The 100 K reward the FBI is offering is often enough to make someone in the know come forward, yet nobody has. I have seen that kind of money catch road rage shooters that nobody would have thought would get caught. The message I get from that is anyone who does know anything is scared 💩💩💩💩less of the person(s) involved and fear they (or a family member) will meet the same fate as Nancy Guthrie likely did, if they open their mouth.

Again, this is just my current theory, which isn’t what I thought at the beginning, so subject to change.

The fact that they only found blood near the doorway indicates to me they attacked her at the door.
They must have been able to carry her from that location, near the door, without any more blood evidence showing.

Agree.

You have a good heart.
I can't help but wonder tho' if it were you or I, would they do the same?
No, they wouldn't. But, you know, I don't care. Because this lady is not famous or anything. It's her daughter's fame that is greasing the wheels -- not just her fame, but her connections because of it. Also, she is part of the media, and they have her back.

If Nancy were my mom, and I was famous and connected, I'd do absolutely anything to get my mom back.

What does make me angry is how the media will publicize crimes like this when the missing child has been abducted by a stranger, and go on and on about it because the story has legs, but usually the child is white. We find out about children of color being abducted by a stranger when he or she is found. Same with beautiful young women. The beautiful tag is because often they are, objectively, and they always are to me, subjectively.

Savannah being part of the media..interesting point.

I think local coverage would be, more or less, due to Savannah's fame. But nationwide, continuous, coverage that has use clickbait headlines because it is repetitious is due to media jumping on the story with legs bandwagon, and due to her being one of them.

I'd never heard of her, but then, I don't watch TV. This is not because I think TV is lowbrow or anything. We had a TV when I was a kid. We got to watch it one hour a day. When it broke when I was a teenager, my mom didn't replace it because no one noticed. That did explain why my brother spent so much time at the neighbor's house, though.

I didn't notice because, aside from working and going to school, I had an active social life. My sister didn't notice because a bunch of egghead guys were always at the house playing chess with her. I took the high road and left the house to socialize in ways that were not so boring. When the eggheads came over, I'd stick around to see if my dog was going to rip their throats out. She weighed 15 pounds, but she could jump as high as their faces, and her mouth was always wide open. The guys survived. I'd pet my dog and say, "Oh sweet baby, you never grab the Adam's apple". Of course she didn't have bad intent. Neither did I. We need more fun guys (not mushrooms) in the world.

Back to Nancy, I am sick of reading the same stuff -- eagerly awaiting some real news, just like practically everyone else. I want her to be alive and unharmed, just like everyone else. Well, except people who are evil.

This could have something to do with the FBI not making any progress...

Internal Morale and Impact
  • Record Low Morale: Current law enforcement sources have described morale at the FBI as the "worst" they have seen, with many career professionals considering moves to the private sector.
  • Operational Concerns: Experts from the Partnership for Public Service warn that the loss of expertise has created "dangerous gaps" in federal services that could take decades to repair.
Hiring and Training Changes
  • Lowered Standards: To fill vacancies, the FBI plans to remove the bachelor's degree requirement for new special agents and reduce training at the Quantico academy from 18 weeks to 8 weeks.
  • Hiring Freeze: A general federal hiring freeze implemented in early 2025 initially paused nearly all recruitment, leading to a 70% drop in new hires across agencies.
  • Politicization of the agency: Leadership has fired or forced out officials who worked on investigations into Jan. 6 rioters or certain legal cases that affected higherups.
The seemingly ineffectual search for Nancy Guthrie is making the FBI look inept and will probably exacerbate the "talent drain."

What's your source for the above?
