I had raised beds and used some kind of cattle fencing for the tomatoes to attach to. It went down the middle of the length of the raised beds. I bought it at tractor supply at the insistence of my neighbor. I thought it was too expensive, but what did I know? At the time, nothing.
I grew a lot of tomatoes. People called me the tomato farmer. While I liked the title, I only grew enough for eating and for canning a 13 month supply for a family of 6, plus my neighbor. It is worth planting yellow tomatoes. The sauce they make is a gorgeous color ... I hated to eat it, it was so pretty. If I ever grow and can tomatoes again, I'm going to keep a jar of the yellow sauce as a decorative aspect of my kitchen, so I can look at it every day and marvel at the color.
IMO, there is nothing better than home-canned tomato sauce, especially if in making it, you also use the skins.
