Too old

Honestly, give it a little time to grow on you and, like me, you'll not want to go back to the old format. This new format is awesome and very much appreciated by me. I do admit an initial resistance but once that 5 minutes was over, I found myself saying, isn't that nice, ooh, would you look at that. So, don't dismiss the new format too quickly. Kudos and Congrats on the new forum format, I'm liking it (y)! Don...
 

I haven't been here in a while and what a shocker to see this new forum. I deleted it twice, going back to find what I thought I was looking, (the old forum). Once I realized this was it and I looked around a mite, I love so much more than the old forum. What is it we used to say for approval? I think it's, Way to Go! So way to go, Matrix.

Just take your time and you will be crusing around like a robot, when you find something that works, write it down. take a deep b r e a t h and just do it,,,
 
I'm not going to apologize for not liking the new format. I realize in a week or 2 I'll be quite comfortable with it. I know the old one was outdated and this one will work better but I still can miss the old one for awhile. My main disapointment is the color green is gone. If I can find a way to change the color on here I'll be pretty happy.

Remember, it was only green around the edges and the rest of it was a light color. Hope you're feeling better about it soon. :)

Really? I just remember green and maybe black. I'll learn to live with it. Now I'm wondering what this trophy business is. I think instead of reading posts I should take a few minutes and see if I can figure out what's new and different here and how to work my way around this new format. I won't give up. :sick: At lest I found a green face but I wish it were smiling.
 
Like what seems like the rest of you, don't like changes... But in my life today, there have been a few new changes... I don't look at things as a change, but more like a challenge. Can't let the little & Big things get me, so as long as I can get used to the smaller things, I find the bigger things follow... I challenge everyone here to give it an honest try and see how we feel about it in a month...

Do you dare to try the challenge...

Same here Marie, never used this type of format before and it is a challenge and learning process for sure. I'm very attached to this place and don't plan to leave at all. Good friends, nice people and I also learn new stuff all the time here. If this senior forum shut down, I'd just have more time for cleaning.....don't intend to join any of the others out there from all I've seen.

Glad you're giving it a chance Marie, we all agree that change is not desired especially by folks our age, but it is sometimes needed. đź’™
 
I think the change is minor. Some things I like, some not so much.

One new feature I like a lot is that if I mistakenly start to reply to a note on page 1, not realizing that there are now 3 pages on that subject, I get a warning: "Did you know there are more notes in this thread? Want to go to the end?" (Not the exact words, but that's the idea.)

So I say, "Oops," click on Yes, and am transported to the end of the thread. That's happened a few times already. Nice feature. I don't think we had it before.
 
When I'm replying to a thread, I will be notified if there are new replies. Not sure if you have to enable push to get it.
 
That is the way of computers, as soon as you get comfortable with it, they change it.
