Tragedy struck in Canada after a bus carrying a junior hockey team collided with a truck killing 14 injuring another 14. Their entire town in morning/shock.

I was stunned by the numbers and pictures as it looks like one of the drivers messed up. The front of bus is basically gone.

RIP victims and speedy recovery to survivors.

It appears that the bus was "t-boned" by a large tractor/trailer truck. That would seem to indicate that one of the drivers screwed up, at an intersection....ran a red light or stop sign, etc.

I read this when I woke up this morning, my heart sank and had chills run over me.
It's beyond tragic, God Bless those who lost their lives and the survivors & families.

If the point of impact was more toward the rear of the bus's side rather dead center, it may indicate the bus was further into the intersection and therefore in control of it, putting the truck at fault.

However, there can be many mitigating factors. Sometimes fault is a percentage on each. I'm sure police are out there measuring skid marks or lack of; measuring distances and positions of debris, canvassing for witnesses, etc.

I saw the photo of the three injured team members in hospital beds, holding hands. Wet eyes here, for sure.

What an absolutely horrible accident! I feel so terrible for the families of those that were killed. My prayers go out to those that were affected by this tragedy.

Such a tragedy! I can't imagine what those parents, school officials, friends & classmates and the community are going through! So sad. I had read the story but watching the footage brought tears to my eyes and gave me chills!
