Train Used By Immigrants To Transport Them To US owned by US Company

The train that many immigrants have been using to get to the US also known as the "death train" or "the beast" is owned by a US company-Kansas City Southern KSU. It was the result of a merger with a railroad company from Mexico. The train south of the border is basically Kansas City Southern de Mexico. The Mexican government wants to go after KSU for human rights violations(as they should).

But why is the Mexican government even allowing people ON the train not in a passenger car. If it's a human rights violation they should be stopping the practice. Just kick them off. On the other hand if the US owners know this is going on perhaps it's time to hire a security firm to keep people off the train.

On a side note there at least three executives with ties to Mexico in KSU executive roster including board of director members.

How can this company not know what is going on?

As always, follow the money.

You're right Phil, it's simple when you boil it down. The world today is more about money then anything else, even the churches. Oh yes, I hear the church-goers saying my church isn't like that, maybe not, but churches are made up of people, and I guarantee, there are "church people" that care way more about money, and their comfort then helping others. And it's not just churches, don't misunderstand, it's just a good example.

It's easy for me to say this because I would have a hard time choosing between this, or this:

I think the rent on that portable studio apartment would be much cheaper, but then you see the kind of neighbors you'd have ...

;) I don't call myself material, but when you see something so lovely and inviting, it's hard not to want it, for me anyway. I'd choose the tent if it were in a forest up one of our rivers;) Hard to go anywhere up river here, without finding homeless folks camping.

That's the thing I don't get is how we can keep "inviting", or allowing people to move into the U.S. when we haven't got a handle on the citizen's needs we already have:( What the hell?? Say all you want about "people choose to be homeless" or choose to be on welfare, well not every, homeless person chose that. Gads, makes me sick to think of all we could do to better this situation, and no one is doing it. Instead, welcome to America, land of opportunity. Seems to me the opportunity is not for everyone.

I think you can slice up a pie only so many ways until there's nothing left, yet still leave the sign in the window that says "FREE PIE!" ...

Well that's not only true, but it's logical. Why can't we help "develop" Mexico, for example so that it's livable for it's people? What did Obama ask for lately, was it 2 Billion (I'm sure he must think money grows on trees) to help the immigrants that "have landed". What could that 2 Bil do in Mexico? I know I don't know a lot because I don't research or pay attention to everything, but for my life I try to keep it simple.

Well, I'm still of the belief that we ought to take care of our own problems before we try to save the rest of the world, but of course that kind of thinking doesn't go down well with the do-gooders in this nation ...

I'm with you 100% on that Phil. I've been taught that unless I am taking care of myself, I don't, or won't have anything to share with anyone else. Logic. And if people want to be do-gooders, how about start with our own people. I don't know how many billions of dollars go with missions to other countries, and people/kids are wandering around dirty, hungry and homeless right here.

I live in a beautiful, fancy neighborhood, Jaguars, Mercedes, you name it all along the way here. I rent a room for 250 from a kind-hearted old fellow (only reason I'm in this neck of the woods) but 2 miles a way, in a park by the river, homeless living in tents for the Summer:( If everyone that had something would share, just a little even, we would probably have no homeless, or skid-rows:(

I know that won't come true, people are more afraid to open their wallets, then ever. Yes, we need to take care of ourselves and family first, but not "only".

Mexican police finely step in

Mexican police stop the Beast-the illegal immigrant hitch hikers ride to the US.

http://www.newsmaxworld.com/TheAmericas/Mexico-Child-Migrant-Raid/2014/08/29/id/591718/

They detained 15 immigrant hitch hikers. The train has been known to carry 1,500 at a time. The illegal immigrant want to bes were aghast.

Sounds like a back door deal by the Mexican government for something. They aren't doing it because it's the right thing to do.

Americans road the rails back in the Depression seeking a better life. Just saying...
