True - 2 groceries, 2 "discount" stores and a handful of pizza and sub shops within a 6 mile radius. The nearest big box store is a 24 mile round-trip.

Depends on your definition of near. There is one place within our gated community that public buses are allowed to pick up and discharge passengers. It's about a mile from my house, in front of one of the two clubhouses. I think it's necessary for many of the people who work here and don't have cars. But it sort of does away with the security we supposedly have. Anyone in a car has to have a special "resident" sticker on the windshield or a guest pass. But completely unidentified people are allowed to get off the bus in that one place. Kind of silly, IMO.

OTOH, our crime rate is very low.

You like to watch foreign language films sometimes, and don't mind having to read the captions

Holly, just a stomach virus. Just enough to ruin Thanksgiving for me this year (I didn't go, of course)

You had to memorize stuff when you were a kid in school, and much of it is still in your head.
