False. Got rid of the land line years ago, and don't miss it at all.
About blocking calls, this is different. Blocking means you put in the number you don't want to receive calls from, and then it's blocked. This is a full-scale general rule that if you don't have the person's name or business on your "contacts," the phone never rings when there is a call from that number. I have managed to not get about 20 calls so far today, and the day is not over. (It shows you the phone number that called on Voicemail.)
