False - as much as I'd love to have another cat, I feel I couldn't do it justice as I get older and less agile; add to that the vet bills and trips, trying to find cat food and cleaning the litterbox. I cat sat for some friends last October and that cured me. My pets tend to live long lives and any I would get now would probably outlive me and be a burden for my executor (who hates cats).
