"Major John Blackthorne/Anin San' in mini series'Shogun' 80
Father Ralph Bricasart' in mini series'The Thorn Birds' 83
He's still handsome after all these yrs
William's best known TV roles are:
'Dr. Mark Craig' NBC medical drama'St. Elsewhere" '82-'88 one of my all fav shows
'K.I.T.T' voice of the black customized Pontiac Trans-Am in "Knight Rider' '82-'86
'George Fenny' high school principal in 'Boy Meets World" '93-'00,the name of the school was JOhn Adams
He played'JOhn Adams' on Broadway in musical'1776',the movie version in '72 with most of Broadway cast. He played Dustin Hoffman's dad in 'The Graduate' '67 amused because he's only 10 yrs older than Hoffman
He won 2 Best Actor Emmys for his role on 'Elsewhere ' '85-'86
His memoir 'There I Go Again' was an interesting book,enjoyed it
