When I tell some people Im 62 they look at me in disbelieve. I must look younger..
Being a senior, O.A.P. old age pensioner in the UK, etc
are fine by me.
Unfortunately the youth and the not-so-young of today
have no respect for older people whatsoever, not even
in some families.
Mike.
Not necessarily: you may look significantly older. When I tell some people Im 62 they look at me in disbelieve. I must look younger..

Yes, I MUST watch it. No, she will not automatically stop working, until we move. If the company she is currently working for was to lay her off for some reason, she would go to work for a Agency, until we move. We have already discussed that.
She does tell me, quite often "I wouldn't know what to do if you were working a job and not able to do all the things you do while I'm at work". Oh, she appreciates what I do, that's for sure!
ouch!
We may also have posters who are posting pictures taken twenty years ago—or pictures of someone else. I would never do that, however. This is a recent photograph of me.We have posters on this site that don't look their age. Lon and Holly come to mind. IMO, I think men with facial hair makes them look older. As part of our dress code at United, pilots were not permitted to wear beards. I flew with a junior officer several years ago that wore a very trimmed beard, but I thought he was 32-35. A few weeks later, I came to learn that he was only in his late 20's. He shaved his beard a month or so later and he looked much younger and I could tell that he was in his 20's.
This is the reason that we have mustache cups.A lot of years ago, I used to wear a mustache for about five years. My wife hated it and complained about it constantly, so I shaved it off just so she would cut out the complaining. My daughter, OTOH, thought it was sexy. (Her words, not mine.) My wife would tell her not to tell me that stuff because it only encouraged me to keep wearing it. Now, when I look back at some of the older pictures, I have to laugh. I can't believe that I did stuff like that. We used to call a mustache a "soup strainer."
You'll still be junior to we older elders!!I'm tired of being a Senior. In a couple of weeks I turn 80 and I'm looking forward to becoming an "Elder". I like the thought of being elderly better.![]()
