U.S./Canada Border

Interesting. Similar to what's around here with several towns/small towns bordering like that one side is town x the other is town y. There is currently a property/zoning dispute with a business trying to expand but town x's laws say no new building with in a 100 ft of a tatoo parlor. The tatoo parlor is 50ft across street in another town. 100 ft is 100 ft but the owner says code enforcement should only worry about what's going in their town. There are also certain roads or stretches of highway although the border is clear by grid coordinates for up to a half mile into the next state one can be prosecuted for traffic infractions as an example in the previous state.

What is going on in that town is just dumb.

I guess the really big question is how to pronounce the town's name: Durby Line, or Darby Line?

Just read the article Don and all I can say is, I would not live there. The aggravation factor would have me calling the U-Haul office to book my moving van!

Yeah, What a hassle for those folks. Lifelong friends have to check in with the border patrol to visit someone just down the street. One would think that governments could find a better solution for the residents.

Need a new classification of hybrid citizens and/or travelers for border residents.
