U.S. citizens. Will you prepare for civil unrest in November?

I said nothing political. Just civil unrest. And how would one prepare for civil unrest? That's all I want to know. What people may plan to do to survive it unscathed.
The Usa Is just a constant cess-pool of unrest, always has been. Deal with the present, forget the crap of the past.

If you didn't intend for it to be political, then why would there be a threat of civil unrest in November, when everyone votes for President? What other reason would you fear civil unrest in November?

It may happen before November with what’s going on in Colorado with Venezuelan gangs taking over apartments. A video went viral showing the gangs taking over units in a complex, but some people are saying the video may have been created using AI. The follow-up story was that Hells Angels were going to Colorado to resolve the problem.
Nonsense, a big exaggeration at best by the anti-immigration mob. Everything I've heard and read points to it being a non-issue, these viral videos are put out by racists to scare people, and obviously they are working as indicated by your post.

Civil unrest? Objection and resistance to the election outcome? Could be, but my rural small town region is probably pretty stable.
My plan would be to keep a low profile, not draw attention to myself and quietly subsist on my stockpile of supplies until some version of social balance returns.

Civil unrest??...not in our quiet rural area. We have plenty of food, etc., in the house. About the only thing I would do is make sure the vehicles gas tanks, and my gas cans are full, in case there is a power outage.

If anyone tried to bring "unrest" into this area, it might be the last thing they ever do.

I wasn't really thinking much about this possibility but had a conversation about it with family members and decided maybe stockpiling necessary stuff might not be a bad idea. I don't know what my neighbors think or plan to do But since I was not ready for the pandemic years ago, I'd like to be better prepared this time.

What will you do? If anything?
Vote and lock the door.

Why would civil unrest be political? The fact that it may result from a political action does not necessarily make it political. After all, politics is the science of increasing and maintaining power; it is impersonal. Therefore, expressions of discontent, even when directed at political decisions, do not qualify as being political in themselves.

You're giving yourself a panic attack. Get a grip.

Some folks are always looking for the negative , something to fear, something to be on-guard about . They just need ?? And cannot stand the fact that their life is just boring, uneventful , etc.

Could something happen ? Of course, always a possibility , but IMO it is a remote possibility.

But as others have said, the most important thing is to vote.

It's always best to be prepared as best you can for any emergency situation. We keep stocked up with food, TP, water (I also use a Brita pitcher) and other supplies, but perhaps we should stock up even more before the election. @gruntlabor has a point: "Elections are not the only danger we face. Long-term electrical outages, widespread terrorism, war, wholesale panic are more likely, my opinion."

There are bad actors who well may try to mess with critical infrastructure. In N.C.domestic terrorists shot and disabled the Moore County, North Carolina electrical substation. Who's to say that couldn't be done on a wider scale across the country. Apparently our electrical grids are easy targets:

"The power grid is an ‘attractive target’

CNN’s chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst John Miller said this type of attack has long been feared.

The American electrical grid is decentralized and controlled by a hybrid of public and private entities.

“The challenge is most of these places are outdoors, most are in remote areas and most of them are available for attack from a long distance,” Miller said on “CNN This Morning.”

He also noted there has been an uptick in chatter among various anti-government and ecoterrorist groups who consider attacks on the electrical infrastructure as a way to create chaos in the US."

There was a time a news venue referred to our city as "Dodge City" bcause of the uptick in shootings and there are certainly ghetto areas, but we have never experienced civil unrest here.

@dilettante "
This incendiary rabble-rousing in preparation for an actual insurrection is not coming from the political faction that the media has been trying to fool you about."
Who do you feel the "incendiary rabble-rousing" is really coming from? If you don't wish to post the answer in this thread, please message me. You have piqued my curiosity!
