Here's the thing about that.

Once governments realized that we were blocking their Thought-Rays with tin foil, they quietly banned it from sale. That's why you only see aluminum foil on the shelves. It does not have the same effect, regardless of which side (shiny/dull) you put to the outside.

This was orchestrated globally. In the states, the Truman administration pulled the trigger on it. Not many Americans realize the our government had a hand in naming Roy Roger's dog as a twisted joke on us. In England, The Adventures of TinTin were first published as a parallel insult.
