Actually 294 American casualties in Operation Desert Storm.
  • Operation Desert Storm began on January 17, 1991.
  • The primary combat phase lasted 42 days.
  • It officially ended on February 28, 1991.

Media coverage of wars are very inconsistent....
For example....On the question were did most of American casualties occur during Iraq War?
Most of the American casualties during the Iraq War occurred in Baghdad, where approximately 28 soldiers were killed in hostile acts alone.
This is wrong....
On the question...How many American casualties occurred in Iraq War?
200,000 service men and women were killed during Iraq War.
This is wrong....
The media plays a game of exaggeration....one direction or another.

Keep in mind that you cannot have more causalities than the number physically present during the war. LOL I was in the Navy during the Iraq war. Most of the conflicts that America gets involved with are air campaigns. In Iraq we had troop and tanks from several countries. We used a lot of National Guard units. Several countries had troops in Iraq but I think the total of all countries was around 100,000 troops.....not millions.

Of course there is a difference between the Iraq-Kuwait war and Operation Desert Storm. The total Iraq conflict was about 8 years but I still disagree with the media estimates, and there is more than one. The Department of Defense reports 4,432 American military casualties for the whole Iraq-Kwait conflict. So Trade's estimate was more correct.

I very rarely use it for similar reasons. Haven't had anyone on ignore for a very long time, well over a year, maybe two.

Interestingly enough, those I've ignored were all eventually banned or left SF on their own.

Same here. I posted a thread about Pride last year and received a couple of horrible responses. At least one is gone. More importantly, I got PMs from other members expressing support. It also brought out the "best" in people.
