I remember hearing that song like it was yesterday. Many consider the Chords version to be the first rock 'n roll song. As you know it became a huge #1 hit for the Crew-Cuts later in 1954. That was the version that had the largest audience. If I'm not mistaken, at the time I had it on a 78 RPM record.
