Update on My Silly Hospital Parking Ticket

So I went down to the Ticket Office today. The Clerk told me I received a parking infraction for potentially impeding snowplow removal operations.

I understand. The City needs to plow the streets so we can park on them. I get it. But on the night in question there wasn't a snowflake in the sky, and the plowing and grading had already been done which is why I was able to park on the road in the first place. So I still contend that it was a cheap and predatory ticket I received from the traffic agent. The grace period was lousy as well.

But ultimately I was wrong, so I paid the lousy hundred bucks and the matter is now closed.

Well, ok, wish you'd fought it. Even if you'd lost, you could at least had a chance for vindication.

Of course I don't know your country of origin, so it depends on the courts.

Nah. This isn't the hill I want to die on. The whole thing has driven me bonkers for 3 days, so I just had to end it. I didn't realize the free 2 hour parking ended at 7pm. I didn't read the posted signage correctly.

Moving on...

May not have been the best tact. There may have been court costs involved and he may still have lost the case so he'd be out of (eg: $145) rather than just the $100. Then there's time wasted. I've been to traffic court once for myself and once for my husband. According to how many people are there, you could easily waste a half a day if not more.
