First Novak Jokovic, #2, was knocked out in the second round by a wild card entry Denis Istomin (7/6 5/7 2/6 7/6 6/4)
and now Andy Murray, #1, has been defeated in round four by Mischa Zverev of Germany (5/7, 7/5, 2/6, 4/6).

Roger Federer, #17, has just started his match against Kei Nishikori of Japan, #5.
As of now anything looks possible.

Did not see Andy Murray's Mom in the crowd. Wonder if she stayed home.
Andy M. sure tries hard, you have to give him credit for that!

Federer won in five sets after being 5/1 down in the first set.
Final result 6-7 6-4 6-1 4-6 6-3

#1 seed on the women's side, Angelique Kerber lost in straight sets to Coco Vandeweghe. A very one sided match but the Murray/Zverev match was awesome.

You're right. There have been lots of early round upsets this year.

Well the tournament is over and it has been remarkable and very exciting.

The finalists were all veterans - the Williams sisters for the women's singles and Federer and Nadal for the men's. Serena won the trophy over Venus in straight sets yesterday and tonight Federer won after an exciting five setter where it could have gone either way.

Great entertainment and great sportsmanship from everyone.
