Every so often, when I urinate, I wet my slacks. Then I have to change them. I'm 86. Are there any devices or solutions to prevent this problem other than removing my pants before I urinate?
Is sitting possible, if so I would try that. You can also use a portable device like this, and empty it at your convenience.Every so often, when I urinate, I wet my slacks. At your age you should be grateful that its only "Every so often"!I'm 86
And that any pee comes out at all. There are some disposable underwear with adsorption available for this problem. I had to use some for a couple of weeks after prostate surgery.

Yes, we dribble more as we get older. And it's not just men, either. A woman friend of mine has problems & she's 64.Every so often, when I urinate, I wet my slacks. Then I have to change them. More or less the same here, however my aim is getting worse, even in daylight...The only time Ron sits is when he gets up in the middle of the night and it’s dark and he’s too groggy to aim right!
Get yourself some raw unsalted pumpkin seeds and eat a small handful of them everyday. You can even grind them up and mix them in with a hot breakfast cereal, or a smoothy. Do this and your prostate will love you for it.
I know it's a delicate subject, it happens more often for older men[and women]. I would take a little extra time to be sure the pee has completely flowed out of the urethra. It may be more difficult if neuropathy is creeping into those areas, and limiting sensory...sensation.Every so often, when I urinate, I wet my slacks. Then I have to change them. I'm 86. My prostate has always loved mewonder if this works for girls...? any input, ladies...?
Sitting might work for women. I don't think an older bladder can empty completely when sitting. Is sitting possible, if so I would try that. You can also use a portable device like this, and empty it at your convenience.

My hat's off to ya. At 68, when I left the hospital after being treated 8 days for Sepsis & Ketoacidosis, my stream completely stopped & by 5:00am, I went to the ER. Doctor said it may have been caused by the 4 IV's they needed to treat those (potentially fatal) conditions with; the excess fluids causing too much strain on everything.Dropping my pants to the floor did it. I never wet my pants now. At 86 my stream is not always strong.
That may well be true. However, with a screen name like "Judycat", I seriously doubt you're suffering from an enlarged prostate.Pumpkin seeds make me run to the bathroom more often.
Thank you so much for making that clear to anyone who didn't know. That may well be true. However, with a screen name like "Judycat", I seriously doubt you're suffering from an enlarged prostate.
