This headline just happened to occur during the Christmas season. You cannot tell me the media thrives on sensationalism and controversy. Anything to get a rise.

Or did Christmas inspire the event? Maybe a bit of both?

And as good Christians we were told and taught to be tolerant of Muslims/Islam. How's that working out?

Most Muslim people who are living in Canada and America are good folks who just want to raise their kids in peace like the rest of us. Canada settled a good number of Syrian people about ten years ago and one family that I know of settled in a little community of Nova Scotia. They immediately set up a new chocolate business called Peace By Chocolates I think and employed not only family but community members there. Now they sell their product across Canada.

There will always be extremists in any group whether religious or secular. I mean, how many nice folks here are professing Christians, but then the USA has the Westboro Baptists! Might not be wearing suicide bomb vests, but they're out to destroy the peace of mind and heart of all those around them who aren't part of their crowd.

No one said you are a monster, but SeaBreeze is just stating an observation that I'm sure even some Christian people have had experience with, that some Christians are very judgey.

What about Christmas trees in public schools?

Personally, I don't see Christmas trees as any kind of religious symbol. More like all about PRESENTS! and giving and sharing good times with friends and family and tokens of affection.

"Christmas Trees" were borrowed from a Pagan rite. I still like them.
