have you recently rented a home in Florida temporary for vacation? One to six months? Just for myself. Furnished. Some are rented by owners and others thru a business arrangement. Were you skeptical or suspicious to pay without seeing it. I know scams exist but if you really want it some faith is needed. I am attracted to the Clearwater west coast beaches I love. Prices vary a lot.

Renting a vacation home can be a great way to experience the area like a local, but it's understandable to have some concerns about scams. One way to protect yourself is to do your research and make sure you're renting from a reputable source. Look for listings on trusted vacation rental websites, and read reviews from previous guests to get a sense of the property and the owner's reliability.

As for the beaches, there are several great options in Clearwater. Clearwater Beach is the most popular, but there are also smaller, quieter beaches like Sand Key Beach and Caladesi Island State Park. And if you're interested in exploring beyond Clearwater, there are plenty of beautiful beaches in nearby St. Petersburg as well.

Going south from Sand Key on Gulf blvd there are many beach front condos, restaurants, etc.

Caladesi and Honeymoon Islands are state parks for day use only. You need a boat to get to Caladesi.

Some communities prohibit short term rentals because of problems with rowdy visitors.

I will rent a place in Clearwater area. Got a plane and car rental for later in year. Alone. I am familiar with that area been there many times. Beaches are delightful. I would hate driving there. Anyone live there recently?

You can also consider renting from a property management company rather than an individual owner for added peace of mind.
