Wakeup/Bedtime

What time do you usually get up in the morning and turn in at night? I am usually up by 7.15am and go to bed between 9/10pm.

Well, during my teen years I lived on a farm and my step-parents were pretty strict about 10PM being bedtime Sunday thru Thurs. (school nights) and I was woke up between 5:30 and 6AM to feed/water livestock/get ready for school bus. And, spending some years in the Navy, which is up every morning at 6AM, except for weekends I didn't have Duty onboard the ship. Doesn't make any difference what time a Sailor went to bed at night, when "Reveille'" rang out in the morning at 6AM.........you got up!

And, since my wife still works a full-time job, during the week, and gets up each morning at 7AM, as I do as well. Most nights we hit the bed somewhere between 10 and 11PM. Very, very seldom do we stay up later than that.

I get to bed around 8 PM and read for about an hour.

I'm usually up and about @ 7 AM.

But, it's NOT all sleep. There may be one or two potty calls during the night.

LOL Falcon. Same for most of us I think!
I get up about 8 a.m. but bedtime is a moveable feast; if I am watching a film or we have friends round it could be around midnight, if I am super tired it could be 10 p.m.

Hit the sack between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Out like a light!! Up between 4 and 4:30 a.m., seven days/week... except Mondays and I'm on the road by 4:30, so usually up by 3:45. I very seldom hear an alarm. Body clock won't let me sleep past 4 a.m. At work by 7 a.m. 5 days/week. 6 a.m. tee time on Saturdays and Sundays.

Yea, I remember when I had to get up at 5AM to be to work by 7AM. Had to drive 28 miles to work. Man, am I GLAD those days are over!! Especially when I had to drive in 4-wheel drive in snow/ice/sleet.

I go up to bed between 10 and 11. Don't go to sleep straight away though, always like to do a bit of reading first. Normally wake up between 5 and 6 but during the summer break after a day out with my grandson I had a few nights where I slept until 7.

I go, regardless of weather. I drive a Chevrolet Silverado, 4WD. She and I have tackled snow, ice, mud, rain, slush, fog... None of those bother me, other than heavy fog. I don't mind at all having to get up early and travel to work. Of course, it may be because I no longer "have to". If I don't like what goes on today, I can retire tomorrow!!!! :>)

I go to bed around 10pm sometimes earlier if I've had a hard day..and I get up for work at just before 5am.

I do try and stay up late the night before my days off but I don't always manage it.. :yawning:

When I worked at a "real" job from 8-5, I was in bed by 10, up at 5. Now that I'm not chained to a clock, I go to bed to read or watch TV around 10, lights out after the 11 o'clock local news and up between 530-6 depending on when That Darned Cat thinks it's time for me to get up. Even on weekends.

When we still lived Up North, I was awake in the summertime by 430 because it was already daybreak. When the sun was up, so was I. I loved waking up to the birds singing!

I don't particularly like the cycle I'm on now, not quite sure how it came about. go to bed about 9:30, listen to soft music for about 1/2 hr, get up about 2 for you know what, maybe get a fresh cold pak or aspercreme for arthritis & small juice, then sleep till the damn crazy cat starts to sing about 3:45, I end up getting up by 4:30. feed beast, have fruit & 1 cup coffee, then often go back to sleep for an hour or 2. back in working days was always up by 5:30 or 6, then in retirement days, would stay up to watch 1st 1/2 hr of Leno or Letterman, then sleep till 7, no napping. next week going 2 time zones east to visit DS & family, wonder how I'll sleep then with no cat, don't know what time their dog wakes up, lol. hope i don't wake them up & annoy them.

I'm usually a good sleeper..but last week I had a week in East Anglia...I was woken up by screaming seagulls at dawn...just after that, a paper boy who sounded like he was wearing lead diving boots dragging scrap metal..and just to make sure I was awake..the bin men came round every day at 6.30..emptying the hotel bins!

Now that's what I call a holiday!

On workdays, I'm up by 4:15 and in bed by 9pm.. On weekends it's usually 6 or 7 (if I sleep in) and I try to make it til past 10:30 for bed. I'm a morning person. I fade quickly after 6pm.

Get to bed at 8:30, and "Rise-a' shine" at 6:30! :)
