Was 2018 a Good or Bad year for you ?

I really can't wait until this year is gone and hopefully 2019 will be a much better year.My husband and I have health issues which comes with getting older and we deal with it,but other things are much harder to deal with. We got a call today from my Husbands older brother's son. We had gotten a call from him last week telling us his Dad had passed away. He called today to tell us his Mom passed away this morning. They lived over 900 miles from us. I can't believe that beside losing these 2 family members we also lost 2 of my Aunts, 2 Sister-in-law's ,my cousins 40 year old son and my husbands nephews 30 yr old son, and also a very close friend of ours. I am counting the minutes until 2018 is over and hopefully 2019 will bring nothing but joy to all of us.
 

I won't go into details Sassy, but our lives have gone to hell this year too. My Detta and I both have some debilitating health problems. Here's hoping you guys and we have a better year ahead. Blessings...
 
2018 was not great, not bad. I need to find a better way to advertise my business without adding too much in extra expenses. Craigslist is a has-been site, it seems.
 
2018 has been a bad year for my health, and a few other family issues too I hope to god 2019 improves.. but in other ways it's been a good year...


However Sassy, I can hardly credit how much you've had to bear as a family this last year!! How you've kept your sanity throughout all of this , only you know, but if anyone needs a good 2019, you certainly do.

I'm so sorry, and really sincere sympathies on all of your losses... ((hugs))
 
Oh, Sassy, I agree, that's much too much for just one family to bear. I am so sorry! I truly wish you a happy 2019-- you deserve it.

Around here, people are sort of afraid to use Craig's List because of some very bad things that have happened to people using it. I certainly would not use Craig's List when looking for something.

I agree with you. 2018 brought me some health challenges along with some financial ones too. That being said, things are beginning to look up now and I'm looking forward to putting 2018 in the rear view mirror!
 
Well, after reading some of these posts, I’m a bit hesitant at submitting this

It’s been a very good year for us

May be the best of the last four of which we’ve lived at the cabin we built
Not tons of accomplishments, just a deeper realization of the present, each day, every minute

For way too long, I’ve lived in the future, just getting thru the present
Not so now
‘Now’ is much more savory
Tomorrow, heh, that’s tomorrow

And, well, we all here are pretty much aware how many of those are left for us

So, as the last rays of this day make our little guardian mountain glisten in the eastern distance

The thought of living in a cabin in the mountains sounds soooo good to me right now. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for many things even through my trials, It's just that for the prior five years before 2018, I had none of these things to deal with and I was relaxed and really enjoying life. My goal for 2019 is to get back to that state...

Its been 4 years and I still cry when I think about the last schnoodle we lost. It’s heartbreaking !
 
2018 was okay for us, nothing bad happened. I'm sorry for all of you here who've had such bad health, losses and heartache this past year, and I really hope that 2019 is brighter for you....hugs.

My husband passed from Mesothelioma, my eldest daughter decided she “deserves” 1/3 of all monies I have and will receive. Need I say more? Good riddance 2018.

I've had a challenging 2017and 18 cuz of worsening arthritis due to a broken toe I got in 2017. I'm mending too slowly and this worries me that age is catching up and taking over? Plus being in pain a lot makes me crabby and cranky which just doesn't work in my life. Instead of my new BF bringing comfort he just makes me angry a lot. I sleep a much more and it's becoming my favorite thing to do which I've got to change. My friend and neighbor died of a fall just before Thanksgiving of this year and I still feel just awful about losing her. This is making me sad. A happier 2019 to all of us....
