Was Milton somewhat overhyped ?

The weather channel is TV, so of course, you can't just have a sunny day, it's the most spectacular sunny day in history.
But, as far as hurricane predictions, they are rather accurate, considering there are thousands of variables that can alter strength, course, etc.
