Wasted life, mental illness

Some choices are not choices at all, but a means for survival. When In a state of disarray does accountability waver? Fortunately I never committed a crime but 30 years was stolen from me by a lack of ability to function in society.
I could not work or get an education because of my symptoms. Not only was my life impaired, pain and suffering was a daily occurrence.

I’ve never wanted the life I have, but I am forced to endure according to the views of society. Confusingly, not wanting to be here does not translate to a desire to die, I just don’t want to be.

I too am living with a chronic illness. It is a life that is very different than those who are not.

Societally, we are all conditioned to feel ‘lesser’ when we are chronically ill. Many in the community can’t work any longer and their identities change so swiftly that it becomes overwhelming to get to grips with and yet, while dealing with that, people who are ‘able bodied’ are constantly misunderstanding and labelling those in the community ‘lazy’, ‘Hypochondriacs’ and ‘work-shy’. It can be mentally debilitating living with chronic illness, especially in a society that is now hyper-focused on productivity and ‘Hustle’ culture.

Solutions to complex problems require analysis of the details of the problem such as what were the symptoms, where was the pain, what was the treatment, who made the diagnosis, what could have been done differently, and what can be done going forward?

Your soul, and I do believe we all have one, is valuable. I'm sorry you're not enjoying life and have had to endure so many challenges. If possible, I'd try to spin all this to my benefit and gain positive attention from others while helping those who may be suffering as you are. It could both change your life for the better while benefiting others in like circumstances. People are more understanding about such issues these days and one benefit of technology is you can reach a lot of people with minimal effort nowadays.

Instead of being born ungodly rich, incredibly handsome, powerfully strong, and intellectually superior, I was born with a lousy back that put me in a wheelchair. What might have been, didn't happen, what happened was how I got here, today. Nobody gets to lead an idealized , might have been life, we are stuck with the life we actually live.

Mr. Ed, The sharing of information is helpful to others and healing to you. It can lead to solutions you hadn’t thought of. Complex problems require detailed analysis. I hope you have someone you can share the details of your condition with including the history, current symptoms, and a path forward.
