My wife likes a show entitled "Call the Midwife." I don't. So she watches it and I don't. I like watching old war movies. She doesn't. So I watch and she doesn't. What's so hard about that?

If you are referring to me ? my post ? ........ He never mentioned give & take ...... He gave up what he liked because she said to ...... That is "P-whipped" plain & simple.

I didn't read this whole thread but can someone tell me where it is taking place? I have it on and noticed everyone looks like they are warm without jackets. Cool, it's 23 F here and wish I was there!

And they said yesterday, in L.A. was hottest Super Bowl on record. High 80's ?

What astounded me were businesses being hit with 6,500,000 million bucks for a 30 second commercial.

No, I'm agreeing with you, although I might have phrased things differently.

Rams won. There was still time left--I don't get it.
I don't know anything about football, but my husband watches a lot of the games during the season. I just pop in at times and watch with him just for the heck of it. I asked him about what you said. He said Cincinnati had one time out and they did not have enough time to make any play that would have scored points.

He said it was clear that the Rams won the game. He said what Cincinnati did at the end was very cool of them, the honorable thing to do. He said they could have acted like jerks and would have just ended up dragging the game our for a few more seconds and it would be annoying for everyone and futile. He said the Rams would have just taken 'the knee' to run out the clock, because no real play could be made.

We both would have preferred to see Cincinnati take the win, but since the Rams won at the end, they went out on a good note, not acting like jerks or fools.

I didn't know all that about the time left, I haven't watched a lot of football tbh. I just wondered about that and now I know. Thanks! :D

cincinnatti didn't get many penalties during most of the game but got three in the last three minutes. what's up with that? also it sounded like the announcers were pulling for l.a. ;especially at the end of the game; which is strange because chris collingsworth played for cincinnatti.

I for one enjoyed the half time show. Thought it was fun!
I didn't see any of the half time show, my husband was watching it in the other room and he went to another channel and returned to the game when it was over. He never gets into the half time shows, been that way for years, although sometimes he doesn't bother to change channels. I wouldn't have minded seeing some of those artists who performed.

I have to say congratulations to the Rams for the Super Bowl win and just going by the score, Cincinnati played very well themselves, and I'm sure they were very disappointed. Better luck next year to them. :)

Thank God, I don't have cable nor satellite. Don't want to watch sports at as I am not a fan. Don't like commercials! Tonight I will watch The Yogi Bear Show, then Cannon (the biggest crime fighters of them all) and top the evening by watching one of the Gunsmoke Shows from the 15th year. That's what "tickles my fancy." Call me a "square" but that's me!
Square!
