We all love chocolate- don't we..?

I used to work somewhere that at Christmas a client would send gourmet chocolate covered potato chips. My first year there, the staff was raving about them and telling me about them. And I said no, that just doesn't sound good, are you kidding me?? They could not wait for them. They showed up some days later, that client's usual gift I gather and oh my yum yum. I couldn't believe I liked them but that crisp and salty with the sweet, man were they good.

I don't know where you buy them if just locally but I've found them online at gourmet candy/chocolate kinds of places, sometimes the places with specialty nuts and chocolates. Years ago I knew the brand of these, but I don't any longer.

You can make your own. Chocolate covered potato chips are easy.
Melt some chocolate of your choice. And dip a chip in it.
I nuke my chocolate in the microwave in a custard cup.
Ridged chips work best but the others work too.
Small batches work best for me.

Theres something about the combo of sweet and salty. I need to check out that Reese's.
Candy corn and peanuts are good too.

Keep your eye open for these at Walmart. Not long back I posted in another thread I've bought these candy wafers for $4.16 at Walmart. Lately, some flavors have been marked down to only $1.50 / bag. Attached is a picture one of them that was reduced, and they're very good. I am unable to get a clearer picture.
[They aren't in with the regular candy or baking candy at my store. They are nearby seasonal candies, which right now, would be Easter.]

I got a different brand from Target a couple of days ago. Good stuff!!!

I just looked at three local stores, including Walmart. Not available in-store at any of them. 😟 I can get them shipped for a very high price (for a 12-pack) but I'm not that adventurous. :giggle:
Amazon has quite a few- small ones and bars, various brands- some aren't expensive, but the thing with Amazon is you can only get free shipping/delivery if you order at least $35. of items..

I'll check there. And since I'm constantly shopping there, $35 is never a problem. My first purchase, according to their records, was in October of 1997. :)

Don't knock it til you try it. Pigs n Taters doesn't sound bad at all to me.

I'm a sucker for chocolate and nuts. Not pig's nuts; deez nuts: peanuts, almonds, pecans, and walnuts.

I love pralines and I'm currently struggling with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cups addiction.

Every Christmas Eve, Michelle makes a killer hot-cocoa with a fluffy little cloud of carmel-flavored light, airy cream floating on top. Only the bottom of it melts, but just slightly, so it sits there intact on a tiny platter of it's own white sweat until you carve some of it out with your spoon.
The woman knows the way to a man's heart.

After typing that, you ran out to your kitchen, didn't you? 🤣😁

I'm not sure how I missed this response other than I guess was still learning my way around and such. Just ran into it now.

These chips were pretty gourmet and yes, they were ruffled or ridged.

Yep, sweet and salty there is something to it... I've mixed small bags of crunchy Cheetos with pieces of a Snicker bar lol.

Today because I was a Brave injun and got my steroid injetion in my hip... I went into this sweet shop...

I worked in the Ethel M Chocolate Factory in Henderson, NV, for about 3 years. The M is for Mars. As in Mars Bars. But this factory did gift boxes.

We wore white uniforms, white hair and shoe bonnets, and blue gloves, and the whole factory was surrounded by glass so that tourists could watch Ethel M's Oompa-Loompas at work.

We were allowed to eat chocolates with imperfections, and our lunches were catered. This was an awesome job.

Tourists could walk through the factory's 2-acre cactus garden, too.

I've never been a fan of chocolate and dislike when people ruin a tasty food by adding chocolate. Oatmeal and rasin cookies with chocolate chips? No. Pancakes with chocolate? Cheesecake? Banana bread? Bacon? No, no, and absolutly not.

Once at a resturant my MIL ordered a steak with a chocolate drizzle. Yuck!

To each their own, but that does sound disgusting!! 🤢

With my kidney disease diet, I can only eat white chocolate but it tastes like the regular chocolate to me. I cannot find it in many products but the cookies with white chocolate and macadamia nuts are one of my favorite.
Macadamia nuts are alright with my diet guideline.

Those are a good cookie. My sister makes a spectacular one. I make some good cookies but have never made those. I don't bake much unless for an occasion or something these days.
