I'll get the full story some hrs later on TV - BUT this is a quote for someone like you and me - just normal or abnormal humans. The point is not how much money you have in the bank right now - not how many degrees you might have or how many successful contacts - the POINT is IF we want to we can all be successful - it is a state of mind NOT a degree obtained from uni! If we can feel success and ooze success and do not believe we will not be successful then we will do it!!

Do you believe - No excuses now!! - just do it - feel the fear and do it!

I know I am jumping ahead of the story but I am feeling the fear and doing it!1

Brings me back to the late 70s and books like "How to be Your Own Best Friend" along with self-actualization gurus with their programs like Werner Erhard and est.

Sounds like "The Secret" from 2006. It was a book and then a movie. Just a bunch of guru type people trying a make money (there you go, become a guru). The main focus was like attracts like. Well, I don't know about that, because I do know that opposites attract, especially in physics (think magnets).

But anyway, that's the most I can say right now without getting the whole story from gumbud.

Wait- I hope it's not Dianetics by L Ron Hubbard, that Scientologist, good grief! He probably named the book after his first girlfriend in 6th grade, Diane.

There was Eckankar, or ECK with master Harold Klemp. I knew a guy who had a t-shirt made that read: "What the heck, ECK.

One of my oldest, best friend has been into Eckankar for over 30 years now (or maybe longer) and honestly she is totally normal. She goes to their conventions on the mainland every year. It's not my thing, but it works for her. I really think that the main thing about what you believe in, except being sure it's not exploitation, is does it work for you.

Hello. Is anybody there?

Talking about scripts:

Whenever I hear that phrase "Is anybody there?" it reminds me of the made for TV movie "Deadly Messages" where Dennis Franz plays a detective way before "Hill Street Blues", and a couple is going out for the night leaving home the guy's teenage niece, and she finds a Quija Board in a closet and starts using it. And she asks "Is anybody there?" And when the couple comes home, they see a man breaking into their second or third floor apartment, and they call the police (Dennis Franz) and they find nothing and he believes that the woman of the couple is delusional. Well, later, the niece is found dead is some closet or something. And Dennis Franz has to admit he's wrong, but of course he doesn't. The way this story fits into this thread is that there are many ways to try to get successful, and lots of folks the try it through the "supernatural".

P.S. And the Quija Board ends up in this older couple's home and the movie ends with "Is anybody there?"

One only has to look into the skies and see all the stars which have captive satellites, like our sun's earth, to feel really small in the grand scheme of things. To think that we are the only high (?) intelligence beings in existence is naïve at best and totally foolish at worst. and ... ours is not the only galaxy. Yes, somebody is there! oh, I have to pass along a message ... ET, please call home.

Well, that is an interesting take on that. Good point. And our galaxy alone is so vast, that there are undoubtedly many secrets and unknowns here on our home galaxy as well.
