We Lost My First Grandson 34 Years Ago Today

My first grandchild left us on the same day he was born 34 years ago. All of my son's children look like him but this baby was the only one who came out looking like a spitting image of my son. He was full term but we were told that the cord got wrapped around his little neck during birth. I felt so helpless because I knew there was nothing I could do to comfort my son and DIL's grief. And at the time I couldn't understand why this happened to our family. I sometimes add a special prayer for parents and grandparents who have gone through this. Truthfully...I know too many! :cry:

We never got to know you or see you play a game.
We never even saw your smile but love you just the same.
Our hearts felt so empty that day...filled with so much pain.
But someday little angel we'll see you once again...
Rest in Paradise angel. Grandmother loves you. 💔

I am so sorry for what happened to you, your son, your grandchild and your DIL. The pain your entire family experienced is beyond my imagination. I pray for all of you.

So sad Diva, I'm so sorry. Rest peacefully little one, you will always be loved.
