Well, they're now available. (SanDisk Extreme 1 TB)

Back to your original topic. I don't know 25 years or so a go, my husbands cousin told us to by sandisk stock. Well we just did not have the funds to do so. Suffice to say the cousin is worth millions now. I have learned if someone that is as smart as this cousin tells me to buy a stock, I will do it. My husband never forgave me for telling him not to pull money from our savings to buy it.

I have several 1TB SATA 3 SSD's just sitting around gathering dust. I back everything up to the cloud now, MS One Drive

Call me clueless, I know about cloud storage but in the abstract way, meaning I don't know crap LOL!

In terms of storage, little thumb drives with lots of storage space are useful in terms of the ability to carry them around and plug them into a computer — storage space does not only mean a computer's hard drive.

This is a thumb drive.
ADDED: It's approximately two(?) inches long and less than half an inch wide, and it plugs into a computer's USB port:

I recently bought that same USB drive (256 GB). It IS tiny and seems to be very fast. I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with any sort of cover or case to protect the end that goes into the computer when not in use. I might look for something.

With the thumb drives we have, the end retracts into the plastic case.
