We're getting downhill faster and faster: 80-year-old hero store owner who defended himself with gun

I've just been reading about the current left wing ideology and how it is destroying American society. It's hard to understand why so many people allow themselves to be hoodwinked into accepting this. It's all extending across the Atlantic to Britain and having the same effect. Complete lawlessness is becoming the norm. Why are we allowing this to happen?

Robert,I', have to watch this on U-tube. Can't get Fox on my TV anymore and will not accept ad blocker.
But, I'd like to know what happened.
Can't understand what a person's AGE has to do with anything.
Do people think when a person reaches a certain age, that they are incapable of doing anything?
I myself have pointed a double barrel shotgun at a man and told him to get off my property.
Anyway, I'll try to comment after I hear Jesse Watters. I like him!

Eighty-year-old California liquor store owner Craig Cope discusses how he fended off robbers in his store with a shotgun and how the people in charge need to do something about the crime crisis on "Jesse Watters Primetime."

When I was a teenager in S California, there was a liquor store where the owner had a very large gun collection that covered all four walls above the coolers and shelves. Machine guns on tripods almost any type of military weapon you can imagine. Probably 30 to 40 different firearms. I asked him once if anyone had been stupid enough to try and rob him, he told me he had shot three people in the past. He wasn't a young man. Doesn't matter when they're that stupid.

People have been robbing liquor stores, since there have been liquor stores. Just one more case of big media, especially Fox, stirring the pot to keep us all in fear so we don't notice that we are constantly being fleeced by big business, and are so called legislators. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" syndrome.

My Grandfather always told me "don't believe anything you read, or hear, and only half of what you see". People tend to immerse themselves in information that is in line with their own predilections. Not many look into all the available information and come to a well informed conclusion, but hey, that's the America we all know and love.

look it up scan through a news site ......
one after another home invasions / carjacking/ and robberies at gas stations small stores of many kinds ........ many victims will shoot and most know make it count do not let them walk away from it.....

and yet criminals have not learned their chosen "profession " has risks ....

my area had a few in last week many instances not even making a story....... but a blip that employee or owners shot or stabbed would be robbers........ because they KNOW if they do not protect themselves no one else will......
or if police still arrest they will be out and terrorizing the next person within a day.

Some people want to say this is not happening or exaggerated UNTIL it hits home and then they are outraged ....
wake up people do not get a free pass......... because they are (insert excuse here )

Slaps on the wrist and treating them like misunderstood kids has not changed anyone away from crime or straightening up their lives ...... it just says there is no consequence so...... Go for it .....
now some are finding out there are risks and consequences ........

Funny thing I noticed is when ever someone is arrested or on trial....... out come the choir boy photos and they are innocent it is societies fault ........
I am not seeing those trotted out when they were killed in the COMMISSION of a crime.

I thought that was Marvin Gaye. :ROFLMAO:

The incident happened at 2:45 AM. Are liquor stores open 24/7 in California? That doesn't seem like a good idea.
Many are, though I don't believe they can sell alcohol after 2 AM. I can't remember the last time I was out and about at that time, so.

I know! And I guess it also makes a big difference if you're a grandparent. I'll often see something like "Police pull over a 60 year-old grandmother!" Not being a grandmother myself, I guess that explains why it doesn't make the news when they pull me over.

I don't blame you, I wouldn't allow Fox on my TV either. This story is not an "exclusive", it's circulating across the media from numerous outlets. store-owner-shoots-attempted-robber-california
Fox News is not free to air in Australian cities but people in the regions can access it.
I don't miss it because our f-t-a channels cover news and current affairs quite well without resorting to blatant bias.

I love how Gaer's "You're very handsome," is followed by Nathan's "A lie left unchallenged becomes the truth."

We wont challenge it, Nathan! It will remain the truth!

Keep your head in the sand and ignore what is going on.

I'm not going to report it, but the reference to "Fox" and "we are constantly being fleeced by big business" is, I believe, political and inappropriate for a forum that prohibits politics.

Enjoy the video. Listen to the idiot as he gets shot. If many of us would have shot him, he wouldn't have needed an ambulance.
