Were Your Favorite Shows Renewed, Cancelled Or Are They Still On The Bubble

Off subject with apologies: Since when did this forum start using the @ symbol when addressing someone by name? I saw it on Twitter but never anywhere else. And there it was used to lead to a subject, wasn't it? (Not a Twitter user)
So glad you are still loving Orville. No need to apologize for asking a question. I've been on SF for almost 7 years (can't believe it) and ever since I can remember I've been using the @ sign in front of the names of people I want to tag when I am not replying directly to one of their posts. When you don't use @...I don't think people will know you tagged them in your posts. Using @ is also sometimes necessary for tagging on Facebook although it seems sometimes it isn't. But FB has gotten so crazy.

Also, when you use the @ sign first, the person's name pops up in a "box" that you click on to create names that are in blue. That also creates a direct link to the person's profile. I hope I explained it adequately!

Thanks for the very informative answer. I will be using the @ from now on. No harm in doing so, just wanted to know! Sorry to keep you waiting but this is the first day I feel fine again after surgery and following complications! And I just finished season 3 of "The Orville" with great regret. Can't wait for season four!!!

I just got finished bingeing "The Orville," now I am starting on CSI because it offers plenty of seasons. I hope I will like it. Since I also watched 20 seasons of NCIS and enjoyed them, I am almost positive that I will. I now refuse to watch any new show if it is in its first season, since so many are being cancelled without giving the viewer a satisfactory ending. Anyone else sick of mid-season cancellations?

I'm sorry you experienced complications after your surgery Old Salt but glad you feel well enough to be back on the forum. Wow..you really did binge watch huh! Guess you had plenty of time after your surgery. I think whether or not there will be a S4 is still up in the air but the last articles I read about it were more hopeful. One of the considerations is how huge the budget is. I guess you could tell, especially during S3. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Don't watch live TV, just Amazon/Netflix kinds of things. Most of the shows I watch have long ago ended or been canceled.

Still missing Breaking Bad, but the new shows Better Call Saul (now done too) and Your Honor are helping...
I haven't watched live T.V. since 2018 when I canceled cable. I'm getting so much more for so much less! I don't get paying so much for streaming "live T.V." either, because those touting live T.V. do charge much more than Hulu, Netflix and the other services. I wouldn't pay again to watch all those ads. An hour show has 20 minutes of ads; half hour 9 - 10 minutes.

I watch the ‘Walter Presents’ shows on PBS Passport. Really some good series. I’m currently watching The Seaside Hotel.
thats all i watch on channel 4......Seaside Hotel, is Brilliant , I ll say no More LOL

im watching the danish Crime series at the moment called " GROW"...

ive seen most of the series .....

The budget must be huge! The special effects have come a long way since the first Star Trek! There's also a huge cast. For a TV produced show "The Orville" is in a league of its own! I must try Disney's Mandalorian again. I watched three episodes but couldn't warm up to the show because the main character never showed his face. ;) Yes, I know I am weird!

Seth McFarlane said he wanted The Orville to be a cut above the rest when it came to special effects and he succeeded. Here's a bit of trivia for you. In 2019 Adrianne Palicki (Kelly) and Scott Grimes (Gordon) got married in real life. Adrianne filed divorce papers after only two months, then dismissed. She filed again in 2020.

I tried watching the Mandalorian too. My son keeps Disney although he very rarely watches T.V. He's a Star Wars fanatic, so kept it so he could watch The Mandalorian. I don't know if he even got past the first season. Like you...it's a put off for me not to see the actual character, but even if I did, I don't think the show would hold my interest. Baby Yoda is cute but I only watched two episodes.

Can't see the Winchesters on the list.
Annoyed ST Discovery is going, knew Picard was only getting three series but this final series is brilliant.
Still annoyed at the BBC for cancelling Holby City but I can't think of any instance of a channel having two entirely different shows in the same hospital.
But Casualty keeps going and just had another cast cull...somehow Charlie Fairhead still survives!
Been in it since episode one!

And talking about cancellations. They cancelled "Time Traveler's Wife" halfway through a season without a satifying ending! Because not enough people were watching! Ever since, I never watch a streaming show until it has had at least two seasons under its belt. One season shows are now OUT! For good!
Unfortunately for fans its show BUSINESS not show FRIENDS its all about money
They invest millions into each show and give it about 13 episodes to grab enough viewers to warrent renewing it for second, third, fourth and beyond seasons
Yeah- when you're invested in a show and the ratings drop and it gets cancelled that's disappointing

I’m embarrassed to admit Live, with…. Started back when it was Regis. We recorded it and would listen to host chat at lunch time. It was a stress break in the middle of the day. Kelly is frustrating because she interrupts everyone. Now that her co-host is her husband, I really wish they’d cancel the show. They somehow think because they’ve seen a show, we should have too. They’ve dropped too many spoiler alerts. As for Live … that’s only three days per week and they prerecord several weeks for vacations. The easy solution would be for me to quit, which I probably will.

I noticed a couple of shows missing from that list too. I can exhale now. One I was concerned about..Will Trent has been renewed!

@Jules Even though Live wouldn't make my favorites list, I used to watch. I watched faithfully for a while once Michael Strahan became co-host. I had never heard of him before (I'm not into sports) but when she was "auditioning" co-hosts, I knew the first time I watched them together that I wanted it to be him. I always thought Kelly was very cute with those big dimples and I like her (or liked her...she kind of turned me off when she was Miley Cyrus for Halloween). I know some people don't like her though.

I like PBS Masterpiece series. I am sad that last night was the last episode of Sandition.
I also like Beecham House, that was cancelled after season one. Left us with a cliff hanger for Beecham House.
I prefer British TV period drama. We don't make those here in the states, just crap reality shows.
