What’s the last time you slept more than 9 hours?

:lol1: I have to laugh at this question because the only time I could sleep nine hours or more was when I was a teenager. My average, of broken sleep nowadays, is maybe 6 hours on a good night. How about you folks?

The last time I slept more than 9hrs was probably while my Mother was carrying me before I was born. I can't sleep more than maybe an hour before I wake up and have to try to fall asleep again. I blame it on my medications.

I think that it was this week. I regularly sleep 8-9 hours every night. I usually fall asleep almost as fast as my head hits the pillow, and rarely does it take more than a few minutes.
Sometimes at night, I use headphones and listen to a motivational/self-hypnosis “tape”, and then I usually wake up and go back to sleep when i am listening, so hopefully, it is working subliminally, like it says they are supposed to do.

I used to listen to motivational tapes, too, while I slept, but then I mixed up a lecture my gf has about sloths into my sleep tape. Now, when I'm aloft, doing tree work, I'm overcome with a desire to hang upside down, in place, and take a fifteen hour nap. Waking up is confusing, as people are sometimes gathered below. Also, pooping only once a week has been a challenge. I need to delete that darn lecture.

I can easily sleep 9 hrs but I have to get up and feed kitty.. she yells if I don't.
I rarely have to get up to go to bathroom. Once I'm down, I'm down.:zz:
I do fiddle around with my phone before I actually go to sleep, though.

gonna say the ‘60s
work all day
party all night
crash
burn

last time I recall I slept around 12 hrs, and woke in the tub…looked like a dried prune...a very cold dried prune

took another day to cure that hangover

After my stroke I was in a drug induced coma! At the most 3-4 hours at a time. Doc says its normal as we get older so I do not worry about it.

I remember 2 times when I was younger sleeping for 9hrs or longer
1. I stayed up to watch Sen.George McGovern accept Dem nomination for President. He came on around 4am,I went to bed and slept for 12hrs
2.When I came back visiting a friend in Calif,I stayed awake that day as long as possible.I went to bed, slept for 10hrs Sue

I remember exactly when it was. Christmas night of 1999. I hadn't slept much the night before Christmas eve. Christmas eve I was up all night creating a scavenger hunt for the kids for Christmas...didn't have much money to spend on gifts that year, so I chose to do something memorable to make up for that. Kids remember it as one of the best christmases ever, so I guess that worked!!

Anyway, but Christmas night I was falling down tired!!! I crawled into bed at 7.00 pm, and I didn't wake until 7.00 a.m.the next morning!!! I don't think I even moved! I remember waking up absolutely shocked that I'd slept that long without waking, my typical night sleep was around 7 hours. I've never slept that long since, though sometimes I feel tired enough to believe I actually could. But I never do.

I'm a lifelong insomniac (even as a kid). I can't recall ever sleeping more than 5 hrs. straight, and any sleep after that is broken sleep. I'm a light
sleeper, which doesn't help. I don't know how I managed when I was working full-time, but somehow, I did. Going to bed earlier makes no
difference. If I lay down for a nap through the day, I rarely sleep, but it
helps to just rest my eyes. I envy people who could fall asleep at the drop
of a hat. My ex-SIL could do that. Out on a country drive, she would pull
over to the side of the road, close her eyes and fall asleep.

I never have! I have sleep apnea so I use a mask and a bipap machine every night (except when the power goes off, and then I use dental device)

Average = 6 hrs. (on some nights, none at all)

I love sleeping. It's my favorite thing to do. rest is underrated. :love_heart: But I don't sleep 9 straight hours. I have too much to do and would probably feel headachey and groggy from that much sleep in one sleep session. :D
