What accomplishment are you most proud of?

What I am most proud of is that I managed to stop drinking alcohol at the age of twenty two, never touched another drop.

That resulted in the end of several generations of alcohol abuse, not only did it better my life but it improved the lives of those around me because I became a role model of accomplishment. I will state as fact that most of the other things I am proud of in my life probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't stopped drinking.
Coming from a family of alcoholics previous to you and growing up in that environment, you truly have something to be proud of breaking the cycle

I've watched those PIT manoeuvers many times on Youtbe carried out by the US plice.... it's an astonishing , and brave thing to do.... and altho' the UK police have indeed carried out PIT manoeuvers, they only do it fractionally compared to the US because our roads are very narrow generally speaking, just enough space for 2 way cars, so the likelihood of killing innocent people use the PIT would be very high...
Holly, it becomes more dangerous as the speed increases. I have seen vehicles flipped doing this maneuver. It’s usually more dangerous to the driver being pursued and any passengers in the vehicle. I detest having to damage my vehicle. We have connections to body shops around the state. If our vehicle only requires pulling the dent and repainting the fender and/or door, they will generally fit us in and do the job sometimes in less than a week, depending on the amount of damage.

There are restrictions when and where we can and can not use it. Public safety is always considered first.

I am living and in good health well into my 70's! My parents and older sister (4 years) are gone now. My sister died over 4 years ago. I think the primary reason they are all gone and have been for sometime, is because the all SMOKED! I do not! Like it or not smoking, in time, ruins your health. We all know a few who seem to have survived to be real old as smokers, but they are far and few of them. It is not a risk I was welling to take.

Now many other things factor into all of this, but most all of the people I know who have been smokers are either gone or in very poor health. The few that I know that are elderly that never smoked, are apparently in good health for their ages. Nothing is 100% but by living this long, I can say that it is obvious to me that smoking will likely kill you. Like we did not already know this...but it is amazing to me how many will try to explain this away...the joke is going to be on them, I am sorry to say!

Okay, but it's not necessary to announce you've chosen not to participate in a thread.
Quite true. Thank you for saying so. If one doesn't want to participate in a thread, simply skip or if this kind of thread read so you can 'react', and maybe be supportive.
