What annoys you?

I agree. Some are more strict than others. We simply follow the rules. My wife makes her own masks and buys a filter that she sews in. She told me that her masks are not the easiest to breathe through, but she declined getting a mask at the Mayo store. I want what is easiest to breathe through while providing the protection that masks are supposed to afford. The mask I mentioned seems to be that.

I dread wearing them when the hot weather arrives! Maybe I'll just stay inside with the AC.

I definitely understand that. Maybe when (if) the warm weather comes, I can just stay home and play guitar on my balconey. Since I live on the top (third) floor of our building, I will be well separated from any passersby.

yeah go on, give us a few of your pet hates....:D
In no particular order:

People that park diagonally across parking spaces or park in the handicapped spaces without a permit displayed.

People that turn away when you're talking to them and start talking to someone else right in your mid-sentence or keep standing on their toes and looking over your shoulder when your talking to them.

Child and animal abusers (more than annoy).

Neighbors that have loud backyard parties in the summer after 10 pm or any continuous loud noises.

People that do not wear their face masks properly.

The one-way aisles in the supermarket (like that's gonna keep germs away).

Contractors and salespeople that take advantage of older people or women that are alone.

People that don't keep appointments and don't even let you know they won't be showing up.

The first customer at my yard sale that wants 80% off everything.

Finding out while cooking your short one ingredient.

People that don't know how to spell or use grammar properly.

Now that I'm fully vaccinated with both shots and the two week waiting period, the anti-maskers no longer annoy me because they are no longer a danger to me or my family and friends. That's one thing I no longer have to worry about, which is good; I don't like to worry—especially since I have anxiety issues.

What annoys me to no end are liars, but that could veer into politics, so I won't elaborate.

Another thing that annoys me is when I can't think of a word I'm trying to use—especially when I'm talking. When I'm writing, I can usually find it using a thesaurus, but when speaking, people aren't going to wait ten minutes while you look it up. Some days are worse than others, and my word retrieval ability hasn't really declined in my advanced age. It's never been very good.

The part I marked in bold reminds me of a funny situation when I was working full time. One guy bought a new Corvette and he would park it diagonally across two spots. Another guy, who drove an old "rust bucket", would park diagonally right next to him.

As for your last sentence, as I get older I seem to have trouble with my left and right hands being in sync so that I reverse quite a few letters. I have to go over my posts a few times and hope I catch all these before posting. It is quite frustrating, but hopefully my posts are not fraught with multiple typos. Even with just this paragraph, I have had to make several corrections.

You make a good point. I see such typos even in edited copy on news outlet sites. Why they can't check their own grammar and use a spell checker is a mystery, considering these are people paid to do this. Where is the editor who checks and vets the articles?

People who park in the disabled spots because they're closest to the entrance and they're too lazy to walk the few extra meters.
My wife has disability license plates on her van. If I drive her van somewhere and she is not in it, I don't park in handicap spots. Of course, if one gets caught, there is a fine, but I think it would be rather difficult to get caught since the vehicle does have the plates. When we personally know a handicapped person and see first hand how much of a struggle that person has getting around, we simply can't (in good conscience) take their spots.

I will drive my wife's van periodically simply because I make a point of driving each of our vehicles weekly just to keep them running. She prefers to stay home since COVID, so I take care of running the vehicle. She has a van with a crane contraption for her scooter and walker, and I have a small Toyota Echo.

Poor diddums?I know it is an emergency but it flies around for ages waiting for permission to land and when it takes off it flies straight over my roof!

Ah well Furry…you may have to invest in some earplugs or have a catnap later on in the day to make up for lost sleep

Right now it's grass growing.
I have only a push mower.

Neighbor spraying Roundup in my yard. Killed my lilies last year. Grr!

People cutting down trees everywhere, leaving only boring lawn around the house. My sons are guilty of this. They love that riding mower too much.

What annoys you?

Grabbing a new roll of TP, and discovering the start has been liberally super glued to the next dozen layers

Someone describing several scenes of a movie they just watched
(this is where gun laws come into play)
or
worse yet,
narrating one while its playing
'OH, OH...watch this next scene!...its really really funny!!'
(like I'm not already watching, possibly distracted with belly button lint or something)

grrrrrrr
