What are you bad at doing?

All your posts are thought-provoking. Thank you. After much reflection, what I am really bad at doing is tolerating stupid people. My father always said "There is no limit to human stupidity".

I see it mostly when I'm driving, and people cross 3 lanes to make a turn. So many distracted drivers. I've recently watched a video on Youtube re: Road Rage that makes me realize people are always going to do stupid things and they are not personally directed toward me. I now anticipate that this is going to happen and it has made me so much more calm.\

And I'm also bad at cleaning the house.
Advice given me when I first began driving: Drive as though no one can see you. It was 50 years ago I followed it thru my whole 'driving' life.

Your Dad was right. No end of mean or selfish people either. But if we keep our eyes open we'll see a lot of kind, helpful people too! Using the video about road rage as you did was a smart thing to do and sadly there are lots of videos about bad/stupid drivers. I've been a defensive driver most of life. Always scanning for potential problems.

Do yourself a favor and watch some YouTube compilations about people doing good things, being kind, helpful.

Having patience with certain behaviors.

And this may sound like it's not so bad, but as i get older i've realized it could cause me serious issues at some point:
Because i have a high pain threshold, i have difficulty gauging the seriousness of injuries unless i bleed, because type of bleeding and quantity gives clues to help decide if serious enough to see doctor. I have fractured both a finger and toe lengthwise (so nothing protruding) went to see doctor when still having nuisance pain days later only to be told i was already doing all that could be done for the injury by stablizing the digit, that the only thing more i could do is rest that body part more.

I'm a little better when it comes to illness because fever and other symptoms help clue me in. But with both injuries and illness i have a bad habit of 'gutting it out' to get must do things done. This is one reason it is good daughter lives with me, not only can/does she help with must do things, she has learned when to say 'Enough Mom! If you keep pushing you'll need longer to recover.'

Organizing important papers, dealing with mail.
AnnieA, I used to have that problem many years ago when I was a newlywed, but I dealt with it over time by making a plan - as we got the mail, I placed it in one pile on the kitchen countertop, and by the end of each day, I have gone through it, keeping what's important and throwing the rest away (advertisements). I go over any bills, and put the date for each to be paid on the outside of their envelope (usually date it a week before it's due) and place the envelope with the bill in a designated place. Also, for the important papers, I get manilla folders, label them and put those papers in their appropriate folder, then I usually file these in a bookshelf or filing cabinet. Over the years, this has saved me a lot of time and money. Good luck! :)

We all like to mention those things we are good at, but what about those things we are not so good at?
I'm bad with finances, housework, painting/drawing, keeping fit. Well the list is endless to be honest. :D
Bretrick, like others here, I am grateful for your thought-provoking questions! You have gone through a lot in your life, yet your generous and big heart always seeks to find the time for others. Thank you!

Making up my mind!
If I'm having trouble making a decision as to whether to buy the blue top or the black top, I will sometimes just have to walk away...and think about it.

It's a constant battle in my head...do I really want that?..do I really need that?
It's like I can't have too many choices either...I can't decide.
