What are you cooking or baking today?

I made this in the air fryer today... it's a Spinach/tomato and cheese Omelette took 8 minutes

Ramen, asparagus Spears and chicken 2 bowls worth, yes, I share. Pretty good frankly. Love finding the canned food I get free and finding recipes for them.

Tomorrow it's chili (Hormel) and chicken breast. I'll cook all 5 and have cut the chicken in chunks. Then pour chili on top. Oh. Including a can of pinto beans, spread the food further.....

Today I cooked for Dog; a package of chicken hearts and gizzards, 3 fresh carrots all steamed, and put through the food processor with the water. Mixed with a handful of kibble. Oh, she is a happy dog. Made enough for about 3 meals, so I froze the remaining portions for another day.
I cook for my senior Jack Russell, too! He has irritable bowel disease and buying special foods just about broke me and he hated all of it. He's allergic to chicken so its either canned salmon or lean ground beef rice and frozen veggies. He's never been happier or healthier.

What kind of veggies do you feed him? I give my a mixture of dog food, brown rice and chicken or beef most days. A few veggies here and there, but I worry about loosening his bowels or making them unpredictable with too many veggies...

Lately he's been liking frozen peas and carrots. Baby carrots have always been his treat. He loves them and they help clean his teeth. And with his food sensitivity I read that pea flour is one ingredient that almost all dogs can digest. He decided he didn't like the green beans in the mixed veggies and would leave perfectly clean beans in the bowl. Peas and carrots he loves.

Mine loves carrots but they have to be cooked till almost soft. She likes a few pieces of tomato. Pure pumpkin (not pie filling) is great for most any dog. Just not too much. I don't eat much rice, so she rarely gets any, but she likes a little plain boiled potato chunk or two.

I'll have to try a few peas now.

I know what you mean @StarSong about getting loose, so I don't over-do.

I made 2 loaves of sordough bread that didn't rise. 😣 I'm going to slice them through the middle to make 2 layers each.
Then I'll cut the layers into 6 or eight square rolls and fill with eggs, bacon or sausage, and cheese. I'll wrap them individually and freeze for breakfast sandwiches when we travel and such.
Back to the drawing board.

Or make them into croutons for salads and soups

I love reading stuff like this.
When one of our dogs became diabetic our vet wanted to prescribe a Hills Dry Kibble. It was very expensive and the first ingredient is corn. Just why? We made our own and it worked out for the best too.
