What Are You Doing To Make Life Easier?

Hmmm, we were just traveling so it's in my mind.
I have learned NOT to drag the cooler in and out. I have 3 heavyduty plastic grocery bags with handles. I fill those and carry them back and forth and leave the cooler in the vehicle.
I've also learned to keep a travel pack filled for toiletries and one for basics like salt, pepper, garlic powder, and a small bottle of olive oil. They are ready to go.
I save the small packets of catsup, mustard, mayo, etc. and take them instead of having to take or buy larger containers.
I only bring food that might go bad or that is a lot less expensive to take and that we're sure we'll be having. Otherwise we get groceries there as needed.
We've gotten more streamlined!

I've quit martial arts for good and will never do this again no matter what. I am - OMG - too old for this- and it takes me too long to recover when I hurt something, so I'll leave it to younger people to enjoy this challenge and move on to something age appropriate.

I've never had to deal with lugging a cooler. Smart move using the grocery bags. I also do what you mentioned with spices and even the olive oil (well now avocado oil) when it's time for me to travel. It's important, particularly since I mostly travel by bus to our timeshare.

Now that we have the cat and I'm going away for fewer days at a time, what I carry can fit into a small insulated bag which surprisingly holds a container with a turkey burger or crab cake(s), small bag of frozen vegetables, sliced cheese, a bottle of water, the condiments in packets or small bottles, a yogurt and a sandwich. If I need anything else, I can either get it from the mini mart in the resort or walk to the small market a couple of blocks away.

This post really made me think that I need to start making things easier. Great tips!

I got a Doberman puppy thinking she would keep me moving and exercising and she does but I'm also sorer and hurt more! Puppy days wont last forever though. She is going to be the last one for sure.

I am working on my budget so that I'm spending less. I recently decided I can't justify the expense needed to get back into console gaming so I am not utilizing the free games available online and Chromebook. It is more than enough to keep me entertained. I dumped Amazon Prime for the $7.99 a mo. Hulu plan. Plus I have lots of free sites for movies, reading, podcasts and exercising if I ever get around to that.

Now that you are of a certain age, what are you doing to make it easier on yourself? I decided: I'm no longer going to fool with the mop, except if water has pooled somewhere.
~I will use the Swiffer wet system. Even though I sometimes have to use a paper towel to get leftover debris, it's a lot easier than regular mopping.
~I am making double batches of dinners so I can freeze portions, at least until the (regular refrigerator) freezer is full.

~I buy prepared meals as well, taking care to choose the ones that are not too high in sodium.
~I've got a new system from bringing my wet clothes up from the laundry room. I put them in fresh 33 gallon bags which I then put into two handle bags. It's a little easier than disinfecting the other plaid laundry bags before each use. The two handle bags, which are smaller than the plaid bags, are also less cumbersome to carry up those steps.
stop trying to help people they dont want it they are not going to change ..the hell with them.

I mow the lawn twice a year, whether it needs it or not. And if my lawn looks overgrown, the snow will cover it up till next year. I don't cook, I nuke- if it doesn't come in a box, I don't eat it.
I've kind of developed a routine where the things I do are streamlined to do more with less effort. When you make breaky over 30,000 times, you develop a system.
