Amazing afternoon today. Got my blood work, EKG and wife got her examine..all in one hour. I expected to be at medical center at least 3 hours. Yea me..
 
just came from a party to honor the director of our two local libraries, who was named Director of the Year for the state of Georgia. Nice people but--ooff-- so many crammed into multiple small rooms. I 'mingled' as best I could, talked with several people I haven't seen in a while but soon the noise and the press of bodies just became too much. I spent a good bit of time on the front porch and actually missed the presentation.

Give me a few people with an equal number of introverts to extroverts

I love lemon desserts. lemon filled doughnuts, lemon cake. I think it has become way more popular. It is hard to find things. I went to walmart around Valentine's day. They had all these little one serving pies. I grabbed a couple of lemon. It was yummy and they were only .75 cents each. A candy bar runs $2.00. I wanted to get some more when I went back but there were no lemon. I got a cherry and a chocolate. They were good but I still want the lemon.
 
Gonna try to clean this dump up a little, at the very least. Son/grandson coming over tomorrow! I have re-named Buffy's bedroom The Playroom. This is where my grandson plays with his father's old toys! He Man figures & vehicles & Castle Greyskull and Snake Mountain! "By the Power of Greyskull!"
 
Hi gray Gang !!! I'm fussin about this 12deg F weather...not going above freezing today....but L.A. snow!!!! amazing....getting
ready to do biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast..then i don't know what I'll get into....oh yeah got to call cable co have
them help me program new remote....this is aches 'n pains day
again also....ah well....make it a good day if you want !!!! :p
 
I couldn't go outside yesterday due to the ice storm.
I did venture out this morning around 6:30,our sidewalk was salted so I walked back/forth a couple of times just to get some fresh air
I don't have any plans if I motivate myself may vacuum the living room rug,take short mid morn walk
The rest of my day if the papers are delivered read them, my book

Oh I feel for you Lois.. this last week I had the sciatic nerve play up all down my left leg... the agony...😖 !! I don't usually suffer sciatica from my lower lumber issues but occasionally it gets me. and this week I had one day of it hurting like hell.. can't imagine how painful that must be to have all the time. Hope you get major relief soon 🤗

I can so relate to this. The smaller of my two sons' bedrooms has become the toy room. I saved some classic and better quality toys from my children's time with them and have added to the stash as grands came along. Baby paraphernalia, stuffed animals, dolls and their accouterments, Batman and Ghostbuster figures and associated toys aplenty, Lego and other building blocks, etc. Plus games aplenty.

There's also a quite nice play kitchen that'll undoubtedly end up in the living room during tomorrow's party, as well as a play workshop and tools.

DS & DDIL advised us that they're going to try for a second baby around this time next year, so we'll hold onto the baby and toddler equipment for awhile.
 
I'm feeling very thankful, that the power has stayed on, throughout the past couple of days and nights of the wintery storm, here.
After the mild days we'd had beforehand, it has turned extremely cold again, and therefore, it would have been terribly difficult, without heat or warm foods/tea, and without being able to warm my pain pads.
 
Cold here despite the sun this afternoon, I've just put the heating on in the house, because the temps are down to 13 deg.. ... just been doing some chores... and installed a new lamp in the livingroom. However stupidly I didn't think it through and the lamp it's replacing is proving to be far too big for anywhere else in the house.. :confused:..looks like I may have to take the new one out of it's intended place.. and put that elsewhere instead.. irritating!
Trying to multi-task between searching for ways to fix the software on my computer and watching the Murdough trial
