Not going anywhere at all today, since I had 2 days running around one after the other. usually I need a day in between to recover.., and of course living where I do my days involve a lot of driving... but anyway the torrential rain has stopped, it's set to be a decent day.. but tomorrow will be more sunny..

Postman has just dropped the mail off along with a parcel. He's such a chatterer. He was telling me about his new caravan.. he said he went home and his wife who has just retired announced she'd bought one....anyway he's pleased with it and went out and bought a new car which will be able to haul it.

if I'd ever done the same, my husband would go nuts!..I'm always pleased when I encounter reasonable people..

Good morning beautiful people :D

Busy day today back home after two days at work... regular errands, library (yay, our local branch has reopened--I will be like a kid in a candy store!), general cooking/baking

Supposedly, a guy is supposed to come this weekend and pick up my current washer and dryer and then my new set will be delivered early in the week. So we are making sure wash is up-to-date

I am glad to be reading a few of the posts, this morning.
Mostly trying to recupe from my outing yesterday.

It seems like some of the bare-branched trees, that I see out my window, are starting to notice that Spring will be coming soon, after all;
Therefore, they need to get out of their dull winter wardrobe, soon, and get properly dressed for the next season!;)🌳

oh you got out yesterday ?.. that's fabulous news.. so now you deserve the rest today.

Some of the trees are like that here.. most are evrgreens but some out front are bare, every year they suddenly get completely covered in leaves, quicker than they ever lost them, and each year more full that the last

I posted about my 'outing' yesterday, @hollydolly
along with a few other posts, I wrote, on the previous page, of this thread.:)
It's good to see you! I was glad, yesterday, to read your posts about how your recent medical visit had gone better than usual. Along with the rest of your outing.

sorry I missed your post yesterday Kaila..I've just scrolled back and read it ! :D...how lovely it must have been for you to get out while everything is blooming..

The tulips are all out here now, the crocus too in my garden, and my Photinia Red robin is glowing red and green in the sun....

I put moss killer down a few days ago on my lawns, so that's turned some of the grass black so tomorrow when it's forecast to be sunny, I will rake that out...

It's nice to hear about it! Our crocus are all open and wonderful, but our tulips not nearly in bloom, yet. They have terrific and strong, pointed green leaves, but no bud stems yet, this week.
Our daffodils have bud stems and buds, so they will be opening, soon!

That Photenia of yours, sounds wonderful, and I probably saw beautiful pictures of it, in years past. Is it a shrub?
I also remember your pictures of a lush Spring bulb that blooms under your trees in nearby places, to your location. Are those blooming now?

yes the photenia is a big shrub...takes up half of one side of my garden... and yes you've probably see it in post gone before... . I've had to take my external HD's off my computer because they're causing me a problem currently, otherwise I would get the pictures from them.

..but here's a picture from last summer when they were in flower...

Next sunny day I'll take some more... Tulips are everywhere here... every colour..all my neighbours have them in their front gardens

Not really sure which Spring Bulbs you mean which grow under the trees ? In my garden the only thing that grows under my trees are the Autumn Joy... :)

Garage sale weekend is only 3 weeks away. Never to early to start planning. I made some signs to put on street corners since I no longer live on the main street. Everything but about 10 boxes of sale items I've brought up from the basement and already can't move around freely in the dining area, living room and spare bedroom. No critical comments, please - this is my summer hobby.

Not the ones under your trees, though I love all the plants in your garden!
I am remembering you going to other places, to take some photos, in the forests, that were great numbers of short, lovely things.
Perhaps it wasn't in Spring.:rolleyes:

Yes, those! Thank you!🤩

I see now, that the trees are green in that photo. Is it early summer, then, that those bluebells bloom?

71F at just after 12:30 pm. Yesterday and day before we hit 90! It may even rain tonight. We really need it.

More housework today and a quick trip to the store. DG and GF coming for supper tomorrow. He wants meatloaf, so I will make that and asparagus. They will make a side of fettuccine Alfredo..

yes they usually bloom around the end of April beginning of May, but this year they started about a week ago... and they'll flower until the middle of march. It's a very short season, but it;s beautiful, and people take trips out from the cities to see them in their natural habitat..

Sitting in the dappled sunlight and shade under my tulip poplars, enjoying the garden and the spring day. Gotta take advantage of this beautiful spring weather!

while I was sitting here, I had a ‘backward’ ladybug land on me…. Black with red spots 😀

sometimes we get those ''backward '' ladybirds in the garden... not so much black but a very dark red.... I don't know how they differ from the usual red ones..
