What are you doing today 2023

Gathering things together to bring DH to Durham to start his radiation treatments. A development is that five days has been changed to five weeks. That's because it has spread a bit and also one lymph node "lit up" on the PET scan. They've also started him on hormone therapy.
So, a bit more than we counted on but still doable. Good news is that we are going to start this week. We figured it would be put off to get the hormone therapy working. Glad we were wrong!
His outlook is positive especially because things are rolling.

Good morning breakfast clubbers!!!! welp, I made it thru
the nite, altho not an easy one....still hanging on waiting till
wed for my derm app't...wonder what to do if she does not
know whats wrong?? ah well....sunny and 47f HERE today,
high winds forecast but no rain I think...take care all....;)
 
I'm home. The sun came out. It's windy and a high temp of about 68 expected. Haven't yet made a turn around the garden. Maybe later.

Turns out Sir had to make the decision to take his mother off life support:cry:. Then he was admitted to the hospital. AFAIK, he's still there.

That means I work tomorrow, but I said I'd only do it if I could go in at 7 instead of 6. I worked alone again today. Not everything got done, but that's the way it goes. It's beyond hard to work alone, and tomorrow is another alone day. Sigh.

ETA: I just checked the on-line schedule. Yup. It's been fixed for me to sign in at 7, but...I have to work until 12. More sighs.
 
Well I am off now to help a friend with her computer woes.
It is giving her all sorts of scary messages so I am hoping it does not scare me too
Can't believe I am still doing that at this age when she is 12 years younger.....she just goes blank when it acts up
...anyway harder for me now since I am an Apple Mac person and she is W10 which I did have at one time.
Hoping my memory still holds
Wish me luck....she is a good friend

@hearlady: Keeping a good thought for your husband that treatment is effective and not horribly uncomfortable.

On another thread the question was posed whether online friendships are as real as in-person friendships. While reading this thread's posts since I was here yesterday, I paused at each and realized that for most I had context behind the posts.

Are your friendships real and important to me? You bet they are!
 
I've been mostly computering with y'all this morning while drinking coffee and eating breakfast, but am about to start work (business stuff) for a couple of hours, then move on to making some pizza dough and other food prep work, will throw in a load of laundry, and maybe mop the floors.

Hafta do these things when we don't have the baby here. Speaking of him, he's at Disneyland today! (Lucky duck!)

DDIL's sister is a Disney employee (artist), and among the Disney employee perks are a certain number of free tickets for family. DS, DGS, DDIL, her parents, two sisters and BIL are enjoying the day there together.

I do wish you luck...I'm a little bit like your friend.. and my saviour was the estranged o/h who is very technically minded , now no longer here, so I've had to learn a lot more by myself this last 20 months.. still not very good.. so when you're finished , can you pack up and come here, and give my Mac a good dressing down... :sneaky::LOL:
