What are you doing today 2023

LOL... some bus drivers are super helpful others not so much ehehe. We're just getting to learn about many routes, we love travelling around. Friday was strange as people weren't helping out. Guess they wanted to get home for weekend, no blame there.

Have another route which sounds better. Bus all the way downtown and underground to museum. However, bit tired today, so we'll go during week as daughter point out, Saturday might be busier than usual.

Going to museums, might sound strange, but we like a quiet experience, it's something to look forward to and to have a relaxing time 😎

Since schools are back on, it'll definitely be quieter in museums and also out of normal tourists season. Cheers!
Is there still a subway at St Enoch's square ?.. it's only 5 minutes to Kelvingrove from there.. so that's a good idea..

I don't think going to a museum sounds strange at all. Aside from the Kelvingrove Art Galleries which was my love when I was at school, and even after.. I've visited Museums all over Europe.. the last being the Picasso museum in Malaga Spain..

Incidentally the museums are often not quieter during term time, because classes, and Uni STudents are often taken there en Mass

When you say Bus to town.. do you mean a coach ? .. or do you live on the outskirts of the city and can get a regular bus ?

It's a lovely sunny Saturday here.

I'm driving down to a nature reserve calld Bockholes just off the M6 near Preston, where I'm meeting a couple who are getting married in Liverpool Cathedral next year. I've never shot a wedding there - I hope it's in the Lady Chapel as it's gorgeous! Fingers crossed I get the gig :)

Of course, being a nature reserve, I'm taking the big lens and also the closeup lens for butterflies, dragonflies etc. :)
Fingers crossed for you ...🤞

Well the forecast was for rain today all day... so I planned my day around that. Now the forecast is for NO rain.., so I'm stuck at home .. that's so annoying...

Anyway to offset that bit of annoyance..I was stunned to open my snail mail this morning and find a gift card for £100... to spend at Tesco...👏👏

It seems when I took out a new Insurance policy a few months ago with the Post Office .. the reward was £100 to me once premiums had been paid for 4 months... ..I'd forgotten all about that.. so I'm chuffed to have this unexpected bonus... 😁

Today's the day @Pepper gets to meet some kitties. I hope one "speaks" to you. Maybe even two :) 🐱

As soon as I turned on the lights this morning, I saw my new artwork, and it made me smile. Now I have to figure out what to do with the old stuff and the stuff I'm decluttering. Heck, I don't even have a place to store it or a box to put it in. I'll think of something.

Not quite ready to lick my weight in wildcats but feeling pretty good so far. It's gonna be another lovely day in the neighborhood so it might be that I'll even make my way into the garden to plant yesterday's garden center purchases.

Tomorrow it's back to the bread mines.

Meet kitties? Not today dear lady. It's a Zoom meeting to make sure my apartment is kitty safe. It's a whole rigamarole to be approved first! My references were actually checked! These shelter people would make good cops!

Feel good gigi 🤗

I would if I could.
Twenty-Five quid for a couple of breakfasts these days. A snooty-nosed woman with her mother last week was in front of me at a decent café in Arundel last week, and she said, "I am not going in there, working people are in it", which were in fact, holidaymakers. Some people do live so up their own backsides.

Today……wishing I could turn back the time…..to Labour Weekend of the past.
When……
I always enjoyed the “ Jerry Lewis Telethon “ ……looked forward to it every year…..gave me meaning of the importance of giving.
Was all for “ Jerry’s’ Kids “

All week, have been expecting on this holiday Saturday, to drive the 55 miles north to The City and spend an afternoon walking its tourist crowded north shore streets, enjoying.

But this early morning in a few minutes, will start post processing another set of focus stacked image files from last week's Yosemite road trip to create another image.

We should exchange contacts, you and I, I feel we'd be chatting away of all sorts of good things lol!

I've a regular bus which takes us from home to main end station in Glasgow. Only downfall, the last one is round 20:20 at night, bit of a headache lol.

Once at that main station, there's an entrance to the underground. If it isn't there anymore, we can always get to Glasgow Central and take a train. I'm still browsing around for best routes.

It was bit heartbreaking to pass on bus by hospital complex where my son died. Otherwise, Partick was neat, busy place but funky.

Talking about Coaches, haven't decided how to travel for our day trip to Edinburgh yet. The very organised ones are frightfully expensive. The bus company has a return price under £20. Train would be slightly higher, but VIP to have a guaranteed return, if you know what I mean.

We need a break away from all the difficulties we've been through and I don't want to leave kitty overnight alone.

@hollydolly are you either on Skype or WhatsApps?

Any of you who uses Google play noticed that some games lately have in their Data information: "Data can't be deleted"

I kind of find personally that it'll keep loads of people away as if the game is crap you can only deleted and not clear everything about yourselves playing it in the first place.

I must admit that personally I stay away from those lol!

It's warm today and sunnier than yesterday. I still need to get my weariness off of my shoulders and speak to someone who can help face-to-face. Hopefully, it'll happen soon. It ended up completing in kind of a fish tale and I hate vague conclusions.

Sorry, ranting...😭😭😭

I don’t know whether I need Geritol, a double expresso or a swift kick in the pants

Went to Walmart for one item, then to the grocery store for just a few essentials. Both places were CRAZY. I forgot it’s the Saturday before Labor Day but even on a ‘normal’ day, the noise/long lines/shelves stacked to the ceiling just really get to me. I find myself emotionally, physically and mentally exhausted.

I know I’m one of those highly-sensitive ppl but Sheesh, this is ridiculous.

It's not you. It's trauma left over from when we didn't have to put up with crowds during covid. Best time to go is first thing in the morning when the doors open.

First question I ask myself before shopping is who gets paid today? This weekend is a triple whammy: SSI and pensions on the first, SSDI on the third, and the topper is a 3-day holiday weekend. From stores stay away! Wednesdays are also busy due to regular SS, but nothing like this weekend.

All good points, @EmptyCup Thanks

Got several things done today.. but not the one I wanted to the most. I sent for picture hooks for these new mirrored wall hangings... I have a lot of different type of picture hooks and they don't fit.. so I got these which looked like they were the ideal shape..from Amazon.. and when they arrived they are absolutely tiny.. no good whatsoever. I'm beginning to think I'm not meant to have these hangings..

I have a drill and could drill a hole in the wall and put in a rawlplug etc.. but I can't safely handle the drill now due to the OA in my hands.. so I have to depend on Masonry picture hooks and I'm having no luck.. it's pretty frustrating..
