What are you doing today 2023

Doing laundry this morning. Right now one load is in. I only use one or two machines at the most at the same time because there are only 4 total in the laundry room. Don't want to be a washing machine hog!

I am feeling confused about "liking" or "loving" posts and comments today after that thread about it yesterday. Trying not to use except in the picture ones. I feel like I annoyed everyone because I use them too often. I read all the post on here this morning and I like and love them all.
Please don’t feel that way, Katlupe.
Everyone has a different way of expression, and different opinions.
I will continue doing the what I have been doing all along with the…like…love…hug etc.
Please continue doing what you’ve always done, Katlupe.

Well it's beginning to show now that I don't get out as much as I used to.. and my body pays for it when I do, which is ridiculous at 68 years old.. but altho' given I only had 3 hours sleep last night.. I was so exhausted after todays' Jaunt .. that I fell asleep on the sofa, for an hour sitting up.... then an hour later I fell asleep again for another hour and a half .. WTH ?

I know today involved quite a lot of driving in rush hour traffic.. and then after the hair salon.. a further drive to a town even further away.. then 2 different supermarkets for groceries.. ..but even so, it's hardly a marathon...

I think I'm going to have to take up a little bit more daily exercise..

Taking the car to the main dealers this morning to see if they can fix the problem with the 'emergency call' unit. I don't know if these are fitted in the US, but some 'jobsworth' thought it would be a good idea to fit all European cars with an automatic device that will call the emergency services in case of an accident. Of course, this is just something else to go wrong and in our case, we get random messages saying that there is an unspecified fault in the system. It doesn't affect driving, but the constant warnings are annoying. It seems to be a fairly common problem across many makes of vehicle. Hope they can fix it. At least, the car is under warranty.

That is a good looking steak for sure but I have never had one as a snack!!

Opps. It’s on Prime.
I started watching Jules. I had seen Shelter on Prime before and decided not to add it to my watchlist. I didn't see that it was Harlan Coben, so didn't make the connection when you posted the title. I think I just might continue to watch the series. I like the boy who plays Mickey. I saw him in a cute, engaging movie called Vampires Vs. the Bronx.

It's really cool seeing someplace familiar on T.V. and in movies. There have been many shows and movies filmed in N.J., including in my hometown. I thought I was going to have to ask you what episode the statue was featured in but lo and behold, it was at the beginning of Ep 1. Did you watch the entire series? If so, your thoughts...in fact, I'd like to know what you think even if you didn't.

As usual, I planned more than I actually did yesterday. The Sandman has really been getting me lately. But I did finish putting the groceries away this morning and have no choice but to sort through the clothes before I do the laundry. I know that today I will set up my mini washer and spinner so I can wash clothes in the apartment. Since I have to fill the machine manually, it's a process, but I can leave it up while my son is on his trip (4 days) and not have to do so much in one day.

I decided to wash clothes in the apartment because I've gotten behind again and it's supposed to rain all weekend. I don't want to lug clothes up and down stairs in the rain. It's amazing that this little spinner spins better than industrial machines. I have an electric dryer in the kitchen. Using this set up, I can actually still shower when I slide it all the way back.

Oh my gosh, @Trila ! 😱🤯😡. I’m so glad you got her into a reputable optometrist! I pray the glaucoma meds will do the max amount of good possible and she will not get any worse

If her previous doctor was doing that to your mom, I can imagine how many other patients he was shafting!! I’m surprised he hasn’t been sued for malpractice.

::hot under the collar::
He had been doing these things to many people, for many years. I knew about it, after all, you hear stuff when you work in a hospital.....but my Mom wouldn't listen to me. He had her (and many others) fooled. And he always covered his tracks!

I appreciate all of your kind words and understanding of my rant yesterday. I'm still upset, but I'm ok. My Mom has been putting drops in her own eyes for years (the wrong drops!!! 😠), so she knows how to do that on her own. She just has a lot more to do than she used to.

Since we had on and off rain yesterday, we traded our Thursday for Fri......so I'll be working out in town today. I don't have any errands to run today, so I expect to be home early. Then I'll resume my usual Fri activities.

I'm going to get my day started.....

It's sunny today altho' it had been forecast to be cloudy.. however the weekend is forecast to be sunny and warm.. so I'm hoping I can get out then...

Today I'm staying home.. it's racing towards 2pm.. got a delivery arriving later..

Had to leave a biting review on Amazon for a hardback book I bought which arrived dirty , and smelling of some strange odour.. after the seller listed it as in Good conditions.. It's not possible for me to read the book.. so I've demanded a refund..

Today is my eldest grandfurkid's 16th birthday... Can't believe it's 16 years since I looked after him as a tiny pup while my DD worked and he had razor sharp teeth , so I nicknamed Magwai .. he's got Dementia now and sleeps 23 hours in 24 .. but he's still a sweet little old furby...Happy Birthday little Stan

@Trila after all the upheaval yesterday, I hope today is tranquil and pleasant for you! ((Hugs)) and Blessings

Yesterday the temps hit over 80 but this AM was chilly, only got up to 60 and there is a light rain.

This weekend is our annual Fall Foliage Festival and the weather does not look good but I am sure many will turn out for it.
I worked very hard this week on the home projects that have to be done before the snow falls. On my first Fall Foliage here long ago we had a light rain that turned into wet snow- still the parade and everything continued but the indoor fund raiser meals at the fire hall and a few churches providing meals .did get quite a Big turn out-still it was a miserable day.

I spent many years in the Fire Department auxiliary and worked at our festival Chicken Barbeque for 8 years. Most of the time the weather is VERY Hot early in October.

I plan on staying at home today and relaxing, and cooking some fish and chocolate chip cookies. The steak recipe is basically what I use for steak, chicken, and lamb chops - but those are way to expensive these days- and I use a small grill for that.

I checked the Directv movie schedule but decided instead to watch one of my favorate DVD movies -even though I know how they turn out, a good movie is worth watching again and again.

I sure am glad I got my 100 feet of hosing put away-it wont be pliable if I wait another month.
