A load of laundry, then washing a quilt I just finished, and starting the hand quilting on this one. It isn't showing up, but there is lace around the fans.

Usually known as Lone Star, and nice work too.

It was such a nice day that I took a longer walk and went to the store. Thought my purse felt light - well duh, I forgot to wear it. Was able to dig up my emergency $5 and a toonie from my backpack so got enough for lunch food. I had wanted to buy a poppy for Remembrance Day.

Morning all....not so cold this morning, 48 deg, up into 70;s I
think....my brain is still foggy tho...LOL...no plans at all....finished
the laundry yesterday, still have not started on that insurance
selection business, I hate doing this every year...the post about squirrels reminds me I'm trying to figure a way to feed local
squirrels even tho they do just fine without me....cannot walk'
far and certainly not on snow/ice, so not sure what to do this year...two nut trees are not producing nuts any longer...ah well have a great day every one !!!! :p
Don, pick up a bag or two at the supermarket of un-salted peanuts. Put some into a pail or other receptacle you're comfortable with, find place on the porch that feels safe and fling handfuls out . No matter where they land, the squirrels will find them.

I don't do that because not only the squirrels will come. At night you will also draw in possums, raccoons, mice and rats. I have never left out any food source overnight. I just put out a few on my patio table in the daytime after the dogs go out. If they are not gone in a few hours I pick them up.

The neighbors behind me don't secure their out side trash. The animals are always in there dragging out stuff into everyones yards.

I walked to the Amazon Hub. First I stopped in McD's to get an egg and cheese biscuit but was told breakfast was over. What happened to all day breakfast?! I usually stop at the supermarket after the hub but didn't feel like it today. Before I got home, my son called but I couldn't hear him with all the traffic noise. I called him when I got home and he said he was getting off early, so would have time to take me to Costco so I could get my new RX for glasses filled.

I was happy to find a frame very similar to the one I have, except it's black, not bronze. Since I had the RX filled there before, it was an easy process. I'm getting progressives with Transitions and thin lens. The young lady recommended gray transitions this time instead of brown which will go better with the black frame. Costco eye center saves a lot of money; probably saved about $200 over having my optometrist use his lab. Glasses and frames were $265. While I was taking care of that, I had him pick up the curried chicken with coconut, which is on sale this cycle. We were both happy to be able to get this done today.

After we left Costco, he wanted to treat me to a milk shake. We went to our favorite ice cream shop and we both got pumpkin pie shakes, which I'd never had before. It was interesting. Pieces of what were like crushed crust were in it. I only drank half and put the rest in the freezer so I'll have pumpkin pie ice cream next time. :D

I'm up. Gotta leave earlier today because DSIL is taking me, and he has to monitor a college tournament today...needs to be up with the roosters to get ready for an influx of a few hundred college players.

Dread going in and seeing what TL left.

Later, kids.

Mrs Oy wants to do some Christmas shopping and likes Bury Market - so I guess I'll just have to spend a few hours on the Steam railway station at Bury Bolton Street  :p🚂📸
Bet you're really 'chuffed' :D:D.
We do our 'Christmas' shopping all year, especially if we see anything different or unusual that would make a nice pressy or 'stocking filler'.

Here we go again...absolutely torrential rain.. ..... thank goodness I got out yesterday...

Got a delivery this morning.. nothing major just some shelf dividers for the big sliding wardrobe in the other room... and some disposable latex free gloves which is use to prepare food...

Also got all my bakery items portioned up and into the freezer.. lots of Cheese scones and sultana ones too... from M&S. 12 lasts me a month or more..

I've torn a nail off in the night, goodness knows how I did that, it 's quite painful.. surprisingly so.. I've put a bandaid around it for now.. and I'll get it seen to on Monday...

its a cloudy 47* out.
Not sure what today holds for us.

Hubby sharpening his saw chain in hopes of cutting up more trees.
He ordered parts for the backhoe which are supposed to come next week.

I need to burn thrash if the wind slows down.

@holly,, I haven't had an Email from my cousin in the Walsall/West Midlands.
Can you tell me if there was storm damage in that area?

Thanks so much.

As far as I'm aware Walsall, escaped the ravages of Storm Cieran...(y)

Cloudy this morning & damp. Temp now, 6*C. High forecasted for the day, 8*C (46*F). Showers or light rain, with a few breaks I'd guess. Should mean I can do a few practical things outside besides bring over the firewood.

A main focus will be a second day of solving an issue with my MIG welder. I think I've isolated it.

Hi, kids👋. Gramma's home🏡.

It's a gorgeous day and might even get to 70 with sunshine and no wind. Yay! About midweek it's supposed to get to 80 again. More yay!

I really should get out to the garden and clean up all the stuff that froze. How about I do that on Monday instead?

@hollydolly I want that sweater. Really! I want it. Hand it over.

@-Oy- Gosh. Tough duty for you today. I bet there will be absolutely nothing interesting for you to photograph. Nope. Nothing at all.

@Naturally That quilt is beautiful!

@hawkdon Where are you? It's getting a little late to not have heard from you yet.

@Pepper I hear you. Using my laptop is my first choice. Phone? Ugh. Tablet? Last resort. And...how are your kitties doing?

ETA: I had a whole long rant keyed in and lost it. No matter. It was just the usual trash talk regarding TL.

Gigi, I'd let you have it, really I would, but it would be too big for you, and I don't ant you looking like a little orphan waif with your sleeve down to your ankles now, do I ?

Of course not. Why too big? I'm maybe 5'4" on a good day and probably weigh at least 110-120 lbs. Or thereabouts. And I like my sweaters big...hides a multitude of figure sins like the roll around my middle, for instance.

Still enslaved to the lawn here. Leaves are eternal!

If I didn't need the exercise I'd pay someone. But then I'd need to pay for a gym or something. So I save twice. ;)
