exactly..this is the problem now I'm on my own..to get home... Before, my husband would always pick me up after I'd dropped the car, and take me back when I needed to collect it... but now it's going to be a PITA to get home and back again to collect it...
 

I'm trying to get to the gym earlier today. I went yesterday and was tired afterward. Maybe it's my age? I fell asleep with Alexa playing music (quite loudly) late in the day. I don't know how I sleep with it so loud.

I bought some cod and will bake it today for lunch or dinner. Catch up on some phone calls and emails and a quick trip to the post office and that's it I think.

I wish you and I lived near each other. I think we would have a lot in common, including the car drop off issue!
 

Yup. Who would I talk to if not y'all? There's Maggiecat, but she doesn't answer me.

I wasn't up at 4 on my day off, but I was up early. Tomorrow I'm going to think myself awake before that darned alarm jolts me outta bed.

No idea what to do today. I've had breakfast. Now it's time to...what?
 
Right, I've been and cleaned my car out.. and vac'd it. Not that it's generally messy, but I have a box type things in the boot, which holds oil and various car items.. and the door pockets have receipts in them etc.. so I emptied those.. and Vac'd

I always feel that if you take a messy car to the garage, they will think you don't care about your vehicle and not do the best job on it...
 
I didn't know what to do next so I had another cup of coffee and stirred it with a chocolate spoon that DD gave me. Now the coffee and the spoon are gone, and I still don't know what to do next. Maybe get dressed? Tidy up The Hovel? Meh.

I look forward to the days off, but get bored by 9am.

I prefer the ones actually coated in Chocolate.. Tesco do them every Christmas... the same ones they sell all year without chocolate coating,..

My oil heater man came by 8:45 AM to clean my oil heater. I am glad to get that done every year for safety.

I have been with this company for 35 years and have not gotten my usual Dec. Oil tank fill up and he told me they are down to only one oil truck driver, in this area. I have to check my tank measurement every day or so because I like the thermostat on 75 degrees, during the day, and much lower at night. But the next few days will be warmer than usual.

I have a propane woodstove at well, and still have a large real wood burning stove but, as I got older ,the wood got heavier, to bring in, so I had to have a propane stove back up. I can't believe how long ago this photo of it was taken.

My propane stove man who cleaned it every year told me I could save 125 bucks by cleaning it myself. It is easy to clean.
I have been in wind chill temps of 45-50 degrees below here...but that does not happen too often.

I have to put some food into the freezer, and straighten up the house a little , and maybe have barbequed spare ribs in he crock pot with some baked beans and a salad.

Starting to feel very wonky from stupidly staying up since 2am. I will try to make the day however. I think I'm over Covid, I'll test to be sure. If I weren't so wonky from lack of sleep I think I'd be feeling better.

I have always felt very guilty about being ill, don't know why.
 
~Laundry day again; refilled my supplies after I washed clothes.

~Used my mini peddler for the first time in a long time. I “rode” with the special biking playlist that I compiled when I was going to Planet Fitness. Using the peddler today was actually fun.

~Practiced a bit tonight so I can be ready for our studio session tomorrow. I have to re-record the vibes on the dance track we'll be working on next.
 
Relaxing ! Yesterday was my 90th birthday and I was truly surprised when all of our 4 kids and a few grands showed up in the evening for a quick party. 2 of them live in adjacent states and although we see them fairly often, I didn't expect the gathering on a weeknight.
We're fortunate to have all of our family (accept for one grandson and wife} living less than a 2 hour drive from here.
With my wife of 70 years at my side it was a pleasant family gathering for all.
 
Besides making split pea soup that turned out to be stew, I was doing some log wrangling for my buddy who had to take down 8 trees that were Beetle kills. I was just moving and staging the logs for final loading with the backhoe.

Found a hair salon for a haircut. I just wasn’t comfortable seeing the regular lady on Monday when I wasn’t confident that she would be over covid. My husband appreciated me making the change. Now I have a different problem because I think I like this new person better. Oh, well. First world problems.

WoW...not many people can claim to have been married 70 years.. that's an incredible achievement,,.. and to reach 90 years old is another..

will spend the day doing my nails and plucking eyebrows ready for party tonight,like hell lolol,
got new rhubarb plants to dig in,trim back a bit of hedgeing,clean car out of rubbish,mostly receipts,carpark tickets,,then take reapeat prescrips to surgery
