What are you doing today 2023

My plan for today is to finish my laundry. I got so far behind again. Since it has been so cold I am drying it in the dryers. I don't feel the clothing lasts as long when I do that but I do not want my apartment to get cold from it hanging in the bathroom. I have other things in mind but will wait and see if I actually do them before putting it down here. It is a bit warmer this morning at 37 degrees.

Off to the VA again. Heart doctor wants to use a heart monitor for a few days. Stress test coming later. Darn A-fib.

It's past 1pm now. I went out for a walk locally, and it was icy and bitter cold, but now the sun is out, albeit still very cold. I wish I'd left it until now to go out...

Today is a rain day, so I slept in. It's almost 10:00, and I'm first now making breakfast!!!!

Later, I'm thinking that it'll be a popcorn and movie day. We have a movie that we got from Janeen (Branson), and she got it from her library....so we need to bring it back this Sat.

Trila, maybe you could give it away or sell it? They have to come for it. We're not even allowed to burn leaves in CT to keep down pollution. Get some rest now.

I live in a very rural area, in the middle of no where. Burning is not a problem. I do need to get it done soon, though. Already, as I'm dragging branches to the burn pile, I have to be careful to not step on any of my spring bulbs....their little noses are starting to poke out!

I'm a retired Cardiac Tech. Those monitors can be a nuisance.....but it's worth it! Good luck!

I'm cleaning up garden beds around my front steps.

So, I did the unthinkable. I went up in the attic and pulled out some fake foliage and made a pre-spring plant to brighten my day.
Is it so wrong??

Purging gloomy thoughts, not letting others pull me down with doomsday happenings, and instead focusing on the happy parts of the day.
Geesh! We are up, healthy and moving about, and have the time to post here, so how bad is it??

I am having a great day. Skipping the laundry for today since two machines are down and we only have four. Went for my morning walk with my friend around our hall......8 laps as usual. Then I went out to the dumpster and sat on my walker in the sun. It felt so good and I enjoyed being outside. The elevator man came and had a long conversation with me. Was VERY interesting! Then got my mail and delivery from Amazon (which I will post a picture about in my diary, not done editing it yet). Sunny out and a beautiful day here!

Going to the cemetery today. It's a lovely place with lots of mature trees. Red foxes live in the ravine, there
are groundhogs, birds and squirrels. We're taking peanuts in the shell for the critters.

Dio was heating water for our midmorning cuppa, when we noticed a really bad burning smell. Well, since he was using the back element (which normally never gets used), we both thought that there was just some dust burning on it. NOPE! It turns out that there was a huge caterpillar in the drip catcher!!!! It was cooked crispy! I've heard that insects are high in protein, but...

Oh, I dearly love these, but only allow myself maybe twice a year.
