What are you doing today 2023

All the board members were sent a Grant Report to review. I'm not the kind of person who can just give it a cursory glance. I spent an hour making notes the other day. Today I'll try to learn/remember how to do PDF markups.

I hope to finish the grant report today (or tomorrow), so I can get back to trying to read/understand Schopenhauer for the book club.

No laundry today. The building's laundry room is run by an outside contractor. The payment system (pay by card or phone) keeps changing and messing up. If people can't pay, I guess they'll figure it out soon.

Yesterday I was supposed to have liver for supper. I forgot, even though it was right there in the fridge. I'd better eat it tonight.

Talk to my language partner this evening.

Whew! Then bed.

Sun's out! So far the temp is up to 63F. Expecting 70 again today. Woohoo! It's a good thing I don't have any bedding plants because I'd plant them, then be sorry when we get another freeze. Our last freeze is usually around mid-March.

I escaped an hour early today (with Sir's blessing).

Today "she" has celiac disease, can only work a few hours each month because she gets SSDI, which she insists she can collect even after she's full retirement age (and collect SS simultaneously...it doesn't work that way), because she was in a car accident that has rendered her disabled, she's glad she's not "fat," her BF wants to pay for liposuction and plastic surgery to get rid of her belly, and...she's going out for lunch and "hopes" she doesn't get drunk again. And she has a headache, not to mention that pesky hip that needs to be replaced. I almost forgot to mention her cataracts, but she didn't. They were on her laundry list for today:rolleyes:

She only works a few hours each month because Sir won't schedule her for more. She has asked for 18 hrs/week; he schedules her for 12 hrs/week. Oh, wellll...

Patience is a virtue. I am not virtuous. Okay. Yes, I am. I'm virtuous. I'm a virtuous beeyotch!

Escaped. I escaped.

Sir gave me a Valentine...chocolate spoons😋. When I got home I brewed a cup of coffee and stirred it with a chocolate spoon. Tasty! Mighty tasty!

I get to see Paxton today. For a whole hour . Better than nothin, but the twins will be here, too. So, it's a time-share. Good news is, Meesh and Bonnie said they'll hang with the twins so me and Pax can basically re-connect. I swear the caseworker is destroying our relationship on purpose. It's that, or she's actually, truly an idiot.

She's probably an idiot.

Having one of my 'light headed' Seeing_Stars___.gifdays. Comes and goes so I won't be doing much.
I keep my little bag packed with necessities and unlock my door...just in case I need to make that trip.
Was planning to get that freezer done today but any excuse not to do.
Hope you are all munching on those boxes of Valentine chocolates from your secret admirers.

An hour goes by so quickly .. but, as you say, it's better than nothing. The caseworker should be working
toward keeping ties strong between you and Paxton, for the benefit of his mental health and development.

I hope you and Pax have a good hour together @Murrmurr

That is literally part of her job. If nothing changes before this coming Thursday, I'm going to file a formal complaint. Last time I did that, 2 people got fired....which clearly indicates there's a critical problem in Amador County.

It's a long time since I've been to Southend on Sea, and I walked to the end of the pier.
Also been to New Maldon and Walton on the Naze - gave Clacton a miss!
I went to Clacton last year for the first time in over 30 years..Wow, it's changed.. tens of thousands of people there.. Huge funfair etc.. driving down there was a nightmare due to all the traffic and even worse coming back.. never again!!

Southend is my estranged husband' childhood home, and Leigh-on-sea where he owned his first home as an adult so we were there a lot. Took the train down the pier the summer before last...for the first time..always walked before ( longest Pier in Britain) .. Bar at the end of the pier, nothing else worth going for..

Mersea island is nice for a quiet hour or 2 but you must be careful not to get trapped by the Tide..

I hope you and Pax had a good visit, albeit too short.

Been away for the last couple of days, laptop died, no warning. The screen would still light up, as far as I could determine the keyboard was fine. All I had was a lit screen, nothing would display. I have learned in the past, better to just get a new one. Sometimes it can be fixed but cost just as much as buying a new one.

Mind you, I don't buy anything expensive, just need for internet access and email. So, got the new one today. After that, stopped and got a few things at the grocery, supposed to have some colder weather, maybe some rain. You all know I don't leave the house that much so I felt good I got out there and got it done.

I work alone with Her today so...

Today I will leave Snide at home with Sarcasm.
Today I will take to work a 50-gallon drum of patience.
Today I will remember that it's not what I say but how I say it.

Positive thoughts, please.
well you are blessed with the angel of patience, it would come to the point I would have to say to her. Look this bothers me, please do not talk about it at work. No one wants to hear about your drunken nights, your parties. If you have not noticed, that talk is offensive to some of us, give it a rest. Or better yet, why in the world has Mr. not taken care of it. He should shut down this behavior, it is a distraction for his whole department.

We went to see the 25th Anniversary release of Titanic. It was thoroughly entertaining and touching all over again and has really stood the test of time. Then we went for a nice dinner.
My 2 most favourite movies in the whole world are……
Thornbirds……Titanic.
Have seen them both several times and hopefully see them again some time.
