Update: big gaping hole will be there until Friday. Just shoot me now and save me the trouble of having to find a bridge to jump off of.

So far, it's not my fault ....yet.....but the day is still young.

Looking for something to cover it up with.
After reading your witty comments and retorts here for the past 5 years plus, I have great confidence that blame unfairly pinned on you will be swiftly countered.

It's a misty 38 out,,,may get to library for some different books.
Doubt that I will get any as good as the last ones.

I am not used to having hubby sit around all day!
He did take the dog for a walk one day.

sadly my husband has no choice but to sit around all day now
count your blessings !!

have a nice day !

Hubby (before he died in April 2022) had discussed with me the possibility of getting a shower wall to replace the bath area due to difficulties in getting into the bath and not being able to do anything but take showers. They gave me the wrong form I'm back to square one.
I'm not quite understanding . Do you have a bathtub shower that you want to convert to a stall shower but are unable to simply hire someone to do the work?

Are you in a rental home, so you need to ask permission to do this, or is there some other reason you aren't permitted to make changes?

@MickaC See? It's almost spring even in Canada! And @Aunt Mavis saw a bee.

What'll I do next? Only few things still in the dryer. Dusting and vacuuming done. (Yup. I dusted!) Kitchen and bathroom cleaned. And it's barely 10:30.

It's gonna be a long day.

The attempted ride home was so horrible I have chest pain & headache from it. They FINALLY had to call an Uber for me. The uber driver was such a lovely person. My Buffy was so upset about being left alone so long she gave me a gift of a lump of poop on the floor. No accident, deliberate. Bad Buffy, Bad! 😼

My chest really hurts. This drama is getting to be too much for me. I barely feel safe outside the home anymore if I'm not with my son. I'm not having a heart attack, I don't think. The experience just weakens me. Being home is synonymous with being safe for me. I have to do better if I want to visit my grandson and I do.
Maybe you could try taking an anti anxiety medication so you don’t have a bad reaction when going out.

I saw a robin in the last week of December. It has shown up a few more times. Normally I’d be thrilled to bits to see one in February. This was a record setting winter for snow and cold. Not sure what’s happening.

A day of reminiscing...
8 January 1894 Birthday Maternal grandfather who died in 1969 just before the moon landing - 129 years old.
12 January 1917 Birthday Papa who died on Valentine's Day 49 years ago - 106 years old.
21 January 2017 Son died of extremely rare cancer at 26 years old - 6 years ago.

Sorry tough month, followed by February...

On the brighter side, arranged pickup of defective microwave which lasted just over a month. Getting collected tomorrow. Lucky Friday 13, CoffeeBean will turn 6 months old, magical kitten and day.

Homemade burgers for dinner with chips! Thank goodness for Iceland!

Sorry, here's clearer picture. I was recommended to call for a form and told they'd do the work (housing association) but I was given the wrong form by the person online. I filled it, thinking they were standard forms and added letter of wanting bathtub changed to shower wall (the whole bathtub area changed to shower see pic attached).

It was the wrong form but I just found out after chasing the outcome after the standard waiting time of 12 weeks. Now, I've to call somewhere else, fill the correct form and wait another 12 weeks...

Today was the MRI for the neck, should have reports in a couple of days. I also went to the GP yesterday to go over my blood work. As I suspected, my A1C, was high again. At this point, she has decided to put me metformin to help in addition to diet changes and excersise. I won't lie, the last 18 months have been hard, I quit smoking so have been not good with my diet. I also had slacked off on exercise because of the hip replacement.

I need to get to back to walking like I used to. I just can't due the distance I could before the hip replacement. I can only do about 1/2 mile now. Guess I need to do that a few times a day.

Last thing, the lab forgot to run my thyroid test so I had to have another blood draw. They said I won't be charged for the draw, only for the test. That is good but I hate to have the blood drawn. I will also say they have a new tech, I did not feel a thing, I mean nothing! I will ask for her from now on.

I’m sure you will have no trouble with the changes, Blessed……you are very determined.
A little bit at a time, and that will add up after time to make a good difference.
Do you need hip replacement….or…..do you have one.
You did a major accomplishment……quitting smoking…..very proud of you.
Hope the best for you in your changes.

I have had the hip replacement, after that I quit smoking. The hip replacement was a walk in the park. The smoking, was/is a beast, after a year and a half, I still want to smoke but I know if I light just one I would not have the strength to stop again. That keeps me going. Thanks for your kind and helpful words!!

After 2 years not working at all I am doing some consulting so had a meeting today in preparation for seeing clients again but it will be part time and I set my own schedule. I am really looking forward to it as I love doing vocational evaluations.

Well, my internet was out for about a day and a half.

So, how did I fill my time for the last two days? Exercising 🏃, cleaning

, reading 📚, sewing, decluttering, walking 🚶, playing, and even went for a boat ride! ⛵

And now, I'm off to bed. Good night!
